I read that the OBT characters for those who didnt preorder are going to be wiped when the game goes out of OBT and prepped for launch.


Guess im out then. I really dont want to make an avatar i wont ever see again, for someone who puts their heart and soul into ther avatars, seeing one get deleted is really really upsetting.

If my character were to have carried over, I had enough money and hours worked to buy tera, but i dont get paid till the beggining of may sooo I cant get preorder the game and what not.
But since my character wont carry on after the beta... im out, not worth it to me.

Not sure but it was stated that OBT characters will stay for a while and only months later EME 'MAY' decide to delete those.

Where did you read that nonsense? There's no official word on when/if they're going to wipe open beta at all.

Isn't keeping your OBT character a preorder bonus? Because if that's the case then everyone who is not a preorder should have their characters wiped at the end of OBT.

Even if I'm feeling generous they should be gone by May 2nd at the latest. If the person doesn't have the game by launch date then they're probably not going to and it's not fair to those who did purchase to have every name under the sun indefinitely taken by people who aren't playing.

Well dont delete my new baby, ill be getting the game if i can recreate my amazon avatar, wethere i keep the account active or not depends on how entertained i am. or if want a break from WoW/GuildWars2/LoL

I love smashing stuff and that whole hacknslash deal, which is why i loved vindictus, but if i can do it with one of my old avatars reborn, i might just stick around and might be able to ignore the big fat [filtered] lie staring at my face when go the account page when im not logged in
EME you should REALLY remove that catchphrase, it makes my skin crawl :/

yeah if i was them i would give everyone 1 week to buy the game after launch then delete otherwise all them names are taken from paying customers.

Good they should.... If you don't pay for the game why should you be entitled to keep your character's names and levels for longer than a month... What happens when some actual customer wants that name paid for the game and the subscription and gets screwed out of that name because you don't feel like being a customer?

Im sorry you didnt save 5 dollars to preorder a game you looked forward to playing so much. Maybe you'll change your mind when they pay you a such miserable salary that it's so hard to keep 5 bucks and perhaps you'll blow your whole check on the game.
