Just built a new rig and was needing a new keyboard, cant decide so i thought Id ask fellow Tera fans what would be a good one or what they use.
Any help is appreciated, thank you.
Anything from Razer or Logitech is usually pretty reliable. I use an Alienware one and it's been pretty good to me so far.
If you got the money, get a mechanical keyboard. They are great.
Blue, brown or black keyswitches.
Blue press faster, but they may not register all the key strokes if you repetitively pres the same key (really fast). They are great for typing.
Black don't have this issue. They therefor shine in FPS games, since you quickly tap the same keys a lot. Heavier keys so they don't respond as fast (you need to press deeper).
Brown is kinda like in the middle.
When i say the keys are heavier, they are still much lighter than your typical keyboard. Also, mechanical are much louder, especially the blue keyswitch ones. If that's a problem.
This is a really simplified description. You want to look it up more. I own a Razer BlackWidow (got it 30% off on newegg.com). It's great. Blueswitch and i didn't hinder me when i play BF3.
Otherwise, the Steelseries 6gv2 is more affordable, and just as good. Not as flashy and without macro keys tho.
I still have no reason to get rid of my Logitech G11. With as many keys as it has I can assign it to do whatever I want it's great.
Thank you for yall's replies, ill take a look at razer.
Dig around in an electronic recycling warehouse for one of the old beige beasts.
Better key action you won't find for under $100.
Dont buy razer!!!! Their keyboards aren't actually all the reliable at all! People have problems with them all the time!
Imo go with the Corsair K90. its $130 but its amazing. just sayin
Get a G15 had it for awhile and still working like a charm
