Where are physical Collector's Editions? -_-

Seriously. It's been nearly a full month and Atari is still sitting on their asses over this. What is it going to take to light a fire under these people, and why hasn't it been done yet?

I personally don't care, but my girlfriend is eager to get into the beta herself and you guys are giving her a really bad taste given that she CAN'T, simply because someone can't get their act together and make the pre-orders available elsewhere.

You've got to understand that the majority of people do not want to pay for a product that isn't even out for months in full before it even ships, especially when you yourselves have admitted you don't even know if it'll be here on May 1st or not.

Yet, the only CE option is buying all $80 at once from you guys.

Worse, if this doesn't EVER show up in stores, are we going to be able to pre-order this CE from the store with only, say, a month to go, or is it limited enough we're going to be SOL for waiting for actual retailers to get it?

If you don't want to get it from EME then you must not really want it. :x

Why does your girlfriend HAVE to get the CE to play the game?

Its actually $95ish with taxes, the pre-order $5 charge, and the shipping costs. Its kinda lame that its not in retailer stores (at all yet from what I'm aware), but I'm glad that EME at least let us pre-order it from them now.

However, subscription renewal isn't tied into the purchase, so I'm hoping that time cards will be usable by around May 31st. =P

Because it's totally reasonable to pay $80 for a product even the creator has no idea of when it's showing up.

She doesn't HAVE to, but we both WANT to. What kind of question even is this? That's like asking why anyone would bother getting the CE flat out.

...Oh, look, another reason why there's no reason to order from EME. A pointless $5 extra charge (usually that $5 down in physical stores applies to the normal cost...), and ridiculous shipping fees when I could use Amazon Prime and get it for free? Hmm. :\

The $5 charge is for beta access... its really not that bad, considering the price as it is already.

Simply put, if you want the Physical CE, there is a method available and I suggest that you use it.

Simply put, just because I've been an active member here for almost a year and a half doesn't mean I or any other person that isn't a total fangirl is going to want to drop nearly $100 on a product with no actual release date, especially one that ought to be $15 cheaper than it actually is. AND especially when I already have beta access that extra $5 is a slap in the face and expecting "Thank you sir, may I have another?"

Just to point this out, because it seems like this might have been missed: Ordering the physical CE from EME does not require you to pay it in full now, like preordering the digital does. For almost all preodering everywhere, that $5 gets subtracted from the sale when you buy it, so you aren't actually paying $5 more. Just putting $5 down from part of the price. I see no downside to ordering a physical CE from EME now, unless you want another retailer's preorder horse color.
