why is it this big of a deal to people if the cash shop is around? are they getting cash shop pots? maybe cash shop armors? some special cash shop buff? that answer is no.. these are COSTUMES and more time to subscriptions. i dont see how this many topics/people can be whining about such a stupid matter... fact of the matter is EVERY game wants to make more money thus why they are "buisnesses" the more money eme makes the faster updates can be scheduled and more people they can bring in to assist with every day management of the game.

Things become less cosmetic when you are able to sell them in the broker. Then it becomes P2W. Because ingame coin= best gear. I wouldn't have a problem with cash shop items of "cosmetic use" if every bit was bound to your account. And there needs to be a way to get these items ingame through work.

They don't have anything that effects the game.

Lesse, The night mare horse is still slower than the vanarchy Horse - it's the same speed as the lion/lv60 quest mount, only difference is it ca be used at level 1.

All items are cosmetic thus far.

As long as everything stays cosmetics/mount/pet-ish, then I will support it.


the scroll effect the game

lets say u buy 12 of these scrolls for 1 year and then EmE decides to make it F2P or the population is so low where its only 500 people and like 3 major guilds

the scroll is ment for people that work alot Cough casual players that we dont see anymore to buy this item and sell it for gold to spend on fail RNG or buy gear

The whole purpose of the Chrono Scrolls is to discourage the use of buying gold from outside sources. The Chrono Scrolls just keep that money that would otherwise be spent on some shady website, flow within Tera's own walls, and in turn someone gets free game time in the exchange. Also, EnMasse makes NO money off the Chrono Scrolls. If anything they are better for the game and discourages botting.

How come it's not okay to add things that affect your game, but it's okay to add things that negatively affect someone else's game?

You know, customization and character appearance is a huge part of an MMO, whether that's your own primary drive or not. It's entirely unfair to ask people who love the modifying of one's character's look the most to shoulder the burden of a cash shop.

How is a cash shop negatively affecting your game? It's completely voluntary and it's not required to play any part of TERA.

What's bugging some people is the cost mostly and no other alternative to earn said cool mount + weapon skins. Some want it to be "included" in the price+sub they paid for and not be like "DLC" with console games.

Cash shops would be obsolete this way and would make Enmasse look for other ways to increase revenue besides subs + units sold.
