Why I quit Tera

Below I'm going to list a few reason why I felt the need to quit Tera so soon after launch.

After gameiting for Teras' release for a few years, which I didn't mind as I thought this would be the future of mmorpgs' I was happy to partake in the beta, I thought the game was really well done, fighting style, mobs, groups, zones I couldnt be more happy with.

Then I started on release servers vally of titans. 3 hour que. ok fine load it up after i get home from work, watch tv walk the dogs. and get ready to play all night! but then..... connection lost after 5 mins of play! sweet another 2 hour que.... k ill transfer to a lower pop server for the next few weeks.

game went smooth for a while I honestly enjoyed lvling to 60, then nexus, if you were lucky you could move 3 steps in there, I still dont know how the mobs went down to be honest.
fine ill focus on something else, I mainly play games to do pvp myself. so after hearing that the bgs were not in the game yet and wouldnt be for sometime I kinda started to wonder whats the point for me at lvl 60... as a pvp'er not having the one thing that keeps players like me leveling killed off a major part of pvp players. and I know that to be a fact, i could see the numbers droping on my sever.

fine Ill do something else until bgs. update game today and boom game over. do the whole tech support thing and " sorry you'll have to re download then reinstall and try again..... fail why would a patch/ how could it take down my game, seach forms and I see a whole 24 pages of people with the same issue and no fix dated back to the 15th. so no I wont be playing anymore theres too many games out there and that I own to be going through these issue, im not a beta tester or quality control so work out the bugs next time before I buy the game. I dont buy a new car to call in and say " hey when are you going to finish the roof on this thing, and buy the way I went past 60mph and my tire fell off.

Thanks for reading my Rant and Good day.

You have a good day too. However, this is a good bye thread and thus, I've reported it.

On a side note, if you play MMORPG's only to PvP, you're playing the wrong genre. True story.

A lot of people LOVE open world pvp.

Perhaps you misunderstood the genre.

Also PvP originated as an MMO term... so I'm a bit confused.

People like you are probably the ones who screamed at me so violently for PKing them while I was leveling. True story.

Because the PR admins of the game don't want new customers entering into the forums to see a flood of people leaving the game. If you want to make a complaint about the game or give it criticism, you have to do it without detailing the fact you canceled your account. Which leaves you open to trolls who ask you why you are still playing.

It honestly doesn't matter. Because the pvp genres are the online FPS games like Call of Duty, the MOBA games like LoL and Dota, the RTS games like Starcraft, and the fighting games like Streetfighter 3. MMOs aren't a real pvp genre, as the focus is always on PVE. Now, with newer games like Planetside and Dust 514, you might see that change (and someone loves to keep mentioning Shadowbane as a past PVP MMO). But for now, the MMO genre isn't the proper genre for pvp. It is a side game, nothing more.

People don't just leave, they have to do a lot of drama over it. I support EME locking this kind of thread, because we already enough QQ and those "good threads" are simply meaningless as most of us don't really care. Only the trolls do, but they care about everything.. that's why they don't play the game they complain about.
