Plus on top of it all I have lost faith in the community ever since they got into this mindset of I gotta have full enchanted gear with a +10 and up weapon and I gotta get first place in damage in the raids and all that jazz. The teamwork mindset just flew out the window and it turned into super geared person carrying a raid
Hope this helped :p
If it's any consolation that's the mindset that's slowly eroding all of Nexon's games. This need to have the highest numbers and not care about skill or strategy is taking away the splendor games once had.
That brings up another concern of mine- will that kind of mindset come over here too? Will people give up having fun and only care about optimized gear and only see people as numbers?
It will honestly depend on the server and if you have a guild or not, the random groups will end up that way most likely while the static or guild groups will know each other well enough to care more about over all performance.

I'm glad I have a guild and am the only lancer then. :x
DFO (still nexon) is better than Vindictus and DN anyway.
Ew, you're on crack... I tried out DFO to do the Hat Trick event of getting level 20 characters on DFO, Vindictus and DN, and DFO was the only game I didn't have a character so I played to level 20 and hated the game the whole way through.
There's actually not alot of similarities. Quality is by far the biggest difference.
Dragon's Nest graphically obviously is nowhere near the quality of Tera, but at least it's easy on the eyes I guess... sorta Super Nintendoish. Gameplay is pretty fun; but it's an instance grind; and not anywhere near the options you get from a class in Tera. Also there are 4 classes, and they're gender locked...so a Warrior has to be a male, an Archer has to be a female, etc. The pvp is extremely unbalanced, and quite boring truthfully... you can juggle someone in the air throughout an entire match.
Vindictus is similar to Dragons nest; it's all instanced and you primarily work out of one hub town. NPC's for the most part are 2d drawings, you cant actually walk around most of the "world' if that's what you want to call it. It's also quite ugly... graphically it is garbage. The combat system in Vindictus isnt much like Tera, although people will tell you otherwise. You click your left mouse button 4 times rapidly, and then your right button once to finish the combo.. you dont really have active abilities or anything, it's very click click click click click.... No real depth to the combat at all. It again is also very ugly... the animations are poor, the character models are poor.
Are you serious?...
Vindictus looks perfectly fine, I get that your into pretty colors, but it's an art stlye and there's nothing wrong with it. Vindictus is nothing but click click click combos, poor animations, no active abilities, AND it has no depth? What the hell am i even reading here, feel free to bash Nexon all you like, but it's painfully clear you know next to nothing about the game.

That's a very good question and that's also what I was thinking when there was a thread last night about dps meters and how we should have them and what not. Personally, I can't really say much since I was only able to hit lvl 12 in obt (had work all weekendQQ) but I'd hope that we don't get dps meter or get the compromise idea, in the dps thread, which was see only your stats ie only your dps %.
As a very old Vindictus player dating back to closed beta. The game has lost it's spark. It was great and all but then once I hit 70 all I did was help guildies and do maybe 3 out of all the raids since they were the only ones worth it in my eyes(because they had the big money drops). If it didn't take so long to get to the big raiding levels it'd be great but you can look at it like a really slow start up Monster Hunter.

Sorry i have a problem with this post, it's not exactly the communities fault they made the content actually require a pretty decent weapon. I won't comment on the Dragon, but Liono and Colru definitely packed some high defense. Trying to get first place damage is a bad thing? The only way i can see that is if you fail horribly because your just trying too hard. Regarding teamwork it depends on the Raid, and by that it's just mainly whether or not there is a balista on the map to take the boss down, not much else you can do in that respect.
