Second, you'r right, that's how Blizzard established their name, by releasing average products like Diablo, Starcraft, and Warcraft.
Also not only was Blizzard magically born with an infinite supply of money to back them, but by releasing an average product at best, in an industry that spits all over average games, they managed to take 50% of the market.
Do you even stop and think before speaking? Or are you just another frothing at the mouth, raging hater.

WoW is the richest gaming company out there. With money they have and make they can develop another avarage mmo and it will become one of the most played mmo anyway.
First off, WoW isn't the company.

Sorry blizzard, my mistake there.
We are not talking about Diablo, SC, or warcraft. Those are one of the best games ever made and I am not telling you WoW is not not one of the best MMOs ever made (I had the best time ever playing vanilla and tbc) but now, for us who came to play Tera because we dont like wow, swtor, rift games anymore YES its avarage (NOW - WoTLK, cataclysm). Thats why we dont want Tera to have 10M subs because that will lead to same result as wow wotlk and cataclysm.
So I hear from every second friend that ever played wow that vanilla and TBC were best and now it suck, for no reason?
I JUST DONT want to hear Tera was best at launch and now it sucks in next couple of years !
Do you get it?

just wanted to say thats a horrible idea. if you could get the other players stuff what would keep some high lvled fool from just sitting around some area 10 lvls lower then him, insta killing anyone who comes by, stealing all their gold/consumables, then moving on. no, thats a horrible idea.
but i agree with your main point, as long as TERA has enough to sustain itself (or maybe even just a bit lower so the sub fee is dropped, which could be good or bad, depends on how you feel about F2P games, completely biased to them no matter what, like not having to pay more money on a monthly basis no matter how the quality drops, or etc) but not too much so as to get the "WoW disease." if TERA gets it then i wouldnt be surprised if the now amazing combat gets dumbed down or something, which would be the worst thing possible for this game :(

No, no, don't dissuade them. I say GIVE them their foolish idea and let them choke on it. One berserker sits in a convenient area that everyone passes through and slaughters them with impunity. Say...the Island of Dawn flight point. After all, its HARD CORE! They don't need to be protected from pvp on the starter island, that's for them slimy, filthy, game-wrecking carebears!
Just make sure each one of these blowhards is locked into a 2-year subscription for their pvp heaven. In 2 years we can come back and see how they're doing. I know one person will think it's the greatest game ever, at least!

PVP doesn't work that way. In order to PVP you need to engage a skill first. Otherwise random players can't just pop up and kill you, nor can they take items.
PvP skill is obtainable at level 11/14ish (either 11 or 14).
The only thing that can break are crystals if you die. So don't equip rare crystals in unknown battles.

It'll be watered down to generic proportions here. JP/K-Tera will remain as originals and for the hardcore players. Korea/JP has no intention of changing and ganking content like EME/Frogster has done for their NA/EU releases.
There will be no "downgrade" upgrades, there will be no random pulling of content that is somehow a problem but was never mentioned on the forums until the last minute in an announcement and worked fine. Option items like mischeft boxes got ganked because someone at EME didn't like the loosing streak.
I've seen arguements how some players said it made them loose too much and that it took up space, but all that had to be done was to simply NOT pick up the item. Mischief boxes weren't items that popped up all the time either, there were also other engine boxes that had a chance of changing some low-quality items into higher or rare-items.
I'm starting to wonder the type of people that are for the pro-changes are those with just beta-keys or played tera for 5 minutes.
One of the excuses for pets was because of some 'lag' they caused. When pets could be turned off optionally anyway AND people who have low-end computers are really pushing it when it comes to the graphics anyway.
Tera in itself is not meant for low-end computers to use for. Tera's uniqueness is being silently killed for yet another generic mmo perspective of gaming. It was never a western mmo to began with but EME is treating it as one.
Boy, when those cloud-strife looking characters finally start to show up in this game's plot, is EME going to yank them all out too? When nothing is left of TERA because all of it's hype and guttings, it'll just be another "casual mmo" sitter on the shelf. The "general audience" will leave to Guild Wars (which has a similar action mmo console combat system) and other mmo's.
No player in their right mind wants a game where their receiving less content than what the asking price is asking for. Or stuff just being pulled out at random based on focus groups than actual player-feedback.
How many times do players have to keep submitting polls, threads to EME about changes and EME simply remains silent? The pet change thread has already reached 100 posts now.
