So they are changing the currency from just gold coins to bronze, silver, and gold coins. But what is the point of this? Why is it better? It seems to me that having just gold would be more simpler and easier. The only reason that I can think of is to why they would do this is just to be like other mmo's.
Let's say you have a super rare weapon that you'd like to sell in a shop or broker. And you wanted to sell it for 10 million gold. Due to a mistake on your part you put 1 million... Less digits to deal with, less likely you'll do a price mistake. G'day.

Well the other thing too is, does 10million seem more eye catching or 100g?
I believe what Bluehole is trying to do is convert it to an American game style currency so that you don't have to deal with such large numbers like millions.

I've always hated that system. people will make mistakes in either system, 3 currency levels is a brainless over-complication of the currency system. Instead of adding different currency levels, just have number fields automatically add commas. 11 copper 11 silver and 11 gold is 111,111 currency. I find the second number much easier to count and visualize.

Being able to drop four zeros off the end of a number does make it seem less ridiculous, plus more US players are used to seeing currency denominations rather than an all encompassing single denomination (Dollars vs Yen is a good example).

I like having big digits.
Gold silver and bronze is too world of warcraft for me.

It is really Warcraft, but is that not part of the point? They're trying to make the game appeal more to westerners, and WoW has been the most popular MMO in western culture for a very, very long time. The Korean MMO style of currency makes things look more expensive to the average westerner, such as something from an NPC costing 5k, instead of 50g which is actually made up of an equal amount of coins, but simply doesn't appear that way.

Yeah, but westerners can do math too... Having the change the currency system to smaller numbers... isn't that just implying we're retarded ?
