Why exactly do PvPers hate on PvE?

I'm really curious as to why this is. I always roll on a PvP server, but I never got why my fellow PvPers hate on the PvE community.

For one, I hear a lot of PvPers say that PvE is just about killing stupid, poorly programmed AI, and that that's boring/repetitive/dumb/easy. By saying that, you're essentially hating on every single-player game or the single-player campaign of every multi-player game and saying that they're all boring/repetitive/dumb/easy. And I know that all of you have played good single-player games before.

I mean, sometimes I'll play chess with my friends, and I can beat them fairly easily. But when I go to my computer's chess program and play against it with the difficulty set to 10 (or anything above 5 really) I'll get my arse roundly kicked.

So, basically, what's with all the PvE/"carebear" hate? I don't understand it.

IMO players (people) in general like to band together by putting the others down, even the PvP servers are saying theirs will be better than the other.

and I do kind of look down on PvE players, taking out that extra level of challenge seems like playing on easy, or to put it more politely, IMO they are restricting themselves for a large part of the gameplay experience (even if alot of people find that part frustrating)

I have friends who play console games, single player or co-op ONLY. I never understood it. But to each their own.

PvE is for people who can't handle unconditional PvP, hence they are looked down upon accordingly.

There's always going to be some form of stereotyping in everything we do. People just can't feel good about themselves unless they bring people down physically and/or mentally.

Plus, come on man. It's the internet.

But the only part PvE servers are missing is the PK system...

Personally, I don't like randomly attacking someone. If I wanted to competitively fight someone, I'll go to designated spots (ie. GvG or whatever) to do it or just have a duel with them. Besides, PK system just feels off when you're playing in a game where people are all following the same path/story.

It's why I decided to go PvE in the end. I can still PvP when I want to, and I don't have to worry about some jerk coming by and ganking me while I'm in the middle of fighting a mob.

For instance, back in SWTOR, I'm in the middle of a quest and I see an enemy doing his quest. So, respectfully, I ignore him and I go on my way fighting mobs. Then out of nowhere, this guy comes jumping in and, with the help of the mobs, kills me. So guess what, I do the same thing to him. At what did we achieve? Nothing much, except we both probably ended up being mad, and we need to take that much more time to complete our quest.

I like to get right high before I play videogames, and when I do so, I find that my awareness is somewhat... limited. When I'm shoving chips in my mouth and soloing, the last thing I need is to be jumped by dudes that [filtered] me up. That's my defense :)

The reasons are basically because they're playing on a server where they're too scared of getting ganked by other people and have no confidence in their PvP skills.

In addition, they tend to [filtered] a lot about things involving PvP and sometimes ruin things for people on PvP servers.

PVP'ers tend to be overzealous half wits who have gang mentality. They assume that because people like to play RPGs in peace they're "weak". They also tend to be socially inept people who aren't really competitive in anything that is even playing field or 1v1.

E-[filtered] compensates for something that is lacking in the personal life.

Not every PVP person is like this obviously, the reasonable people are very organized and very sportsmanlike. Very rare type though.
