I'm really curious as to why this is. I always roll on a PvP server, but I never got why my fellow PvPers hate on the PvE community.
For one, I hear a lot of PvPers say that PvE is just about killing stupid, poorly programmed AI, and that that's boring/repetitive/dumb/easy. By saying that, you're essentially hating on every single-player game or the single-player campaign of every multi-player game and saying that they're all boring/repetitive/dumb/easy. And I know that all of you have played good single-player games before.
I mean, sometimes I'll play chess with my friends, and I can beat them fairly easily. But when I go to my computer's chess program and play against it with the difficulty set to 10 (or anything above 5 really) I'll get my arse roundly kicked.
So, basically, what's with all the PvE/"carebear" hate? I don't understand it.

If you want to play with Environement, play Mario Bros 1 on Nin8bits and fight Bowser.
if you don't want to pve, then play on pvp server.... stop trying say stuff like this only makes you look stupider than when bush claimed victory over Iraq before war ended. They just need to lock this thread... Now I know majority of pvers try to change pvp to their liking... and this pissess pvers off. Pvers need stay away from pvp topics. But Pvp need to shut up about pvers and let us enjoy the game. We all have our opinions, just keep them to yourself about our style, and we will keep away from saying stuff about your style... I would suggest make all pvp game... but fury failed and went down the drain. (funny thing is I brought that game for 1 buck at gamestop the week it discontinued lol)
Again I find myself saying this a lot. IT'S A GAME! Let people play how they want to play it. A video game is made for people to enjoy it, so who cares if some one only plays pve, who cares if some one plays only pvp let them they are not hurting anyone because GASP! IT'S A VIDEO GAME! Ignore the cry babies in both pve/pvp because if you don't they will just ruin your fun time!

in away pvp= Cathlioc church.... They look down on pvers(civil rights) The idots of pvpers want everything their and don't give crap about anything else... They think they are right and everyone else isn't, they are haters and bias.(only the idots) there are some good pvpers out there like there are some good cathliocs out there.
PvE is for people who can't handle unconditional PvP, hence they are looked down upon accordingly.
Yes, it's really a shame that the group of 30 guilded people that only travel together when looking for PvP look down on others that enjoy setting up and entering balanced matches where the outcome won't be so lopsided.
I know you don't have friends, fairly obvious thanks to your bad taste in sarcasm but no need to make it that clear.
If you're stupid enough to not be able to avoid groups with PvP'ers with a 5 second channel swapping system you do indeed classify as a PvE n00b and should stay there, missing out half the game's content accordingly. Thanks.
Aww, thanks for getting emotional and personally attacking me because our opinion differs :) EME has stated that the channels will slowly be getting removed as people begin to spread in levels after launch. The higher level zones by default do not have multiple channels either, so good luck with hopping to avoid conflicts you don't want.
I'd also say that being able to attack someone in the open world amounts to less than 1% of the game's content. Anything resulting from it is player made content, and not something designed into the game, so PvE's choosing to skip this aren't really missing out on much. I'd say a whole lot of people agree with that stance considering there are 6 PvE servers to the 3 PvP.

I know the higher level you get, the less channels but
1. The more level you are, the more survivability you possess.
2. They will need to add more as the player count grows.
3. The more people you will likely know.
Then again, Thanks for proving yet another point by making excuses instead of something constructively relevant but no matter how much you repress the truth and exclaim on how "Player made content doesn't count", the fact will remain that PvE simply removes large chunks of content in order to prevent QQ from people like you that can't handle real competition.

Players could enjoy anything they want, including PvE.
I still have my Nintendo 8 bits and enjoy playing Contra v Environnement!
But the only part PvE servers are missing is the PK system...
Personally, I don't like randomly attacking someone. If I wanted to competitively fight someone, I'll go to designated spots (ie. GvG or whatever) to do it or just have a duel with them. Besides, PK system just feels off when you're playing in a game where people are all following the same path/story.
It's why I decided to go PvE in the end. I can still PvP when I want to, and I don't have to worry about some jerk coming by and ganking me while I'm in the middle of fighting a mob.
For instance, back in SWTOR, I'm in the middle of a quest and I see an enemy doing his quest. So, respectfully, I ignore him and I go on my way fighting mobs. Then out of nowhere, this guy comes jumping in and, with the help of the mobs, kills me. So guess what, I do the same thing to him. At what did we achieve? Nothing much, except we both probably ended up being mad, and we need to take that much more time to complete our quest.
