Why was this game released... incomplete?

While TERA online is probably one of the better MMOs, or games period, that I have played in a LONG time, I cannot help but be upset with En Masse for releasing this game, and starting our subscription time.

Why am I upset about my subscription time ticking? Once I quest the remaining level and a half of EXP, I'll get to...

- Do a few hard mode instances
- Not give a damn about the game's PVP, or lack thereof
- Level my trade skills to 300
- Wonder where my glyph books are.
- Wonder when Nexus raids will be released.
- Curse En Masse for leaving us behind Korea, which god help us all if we are always one step behind.
- Pay for gametime with lacking content.

En Masse, I hope your goal isn't making a quick buck off of the game sales and a month or two of subs. I hope your goal is to make this game a long-lasting MMO. This game is currently not in P2P status. Frankly, it's still in a beta status, and if you're planning on making me pay to play in your beta, I will cancel my account.

Thank you for the laugh. This isn't wow, it's not that easy.

So what you're saying is, I should play single player game that has questing from level range X-Y instead and not want to play an MMO?

WoW is for casuals. And the instances in this game are as hard as your party makes them. Hands down.

I see what the OP is saying and do agree with it, I love the game and will be playing for a long time to come, but it does seem imcomplete. Not hard to see why it struggles in Korea and Japan.

It's a brand new game, they stated somewhere that they're waiting on some of the high level content (like nexuses) until there are enough high level characters to make the content viable. Personally I think this is one of the better releases I've been through. If you want incomplete releases, see Vanguard and Hellgate.

The hard modes are actually hard. At least right now they are.

Rift had one of the better (BEST) releases I've ever seen. At least they GAVE us content to progress through including raids, X/X trandskills, not X-Y/X tradeskills.

As they should be, but this doesn't mean that a dedicated 5 man group won't be done with them in 3 weeks.

It's obvious that the OP doesn't keep up with any of the TERA news updates. Good old Knox flat out said they were waiting for a larger population of 60s before they released Nexus. This is supposed to happen sometime before the end of May.

That's great, but what about the REST of the incomplete content that SHOULDN'T have been left incomplete?

PS have you seen Seeliewood?
