Seriously. can someone name me an MMO that was "finished" at launch?
Um... this may come as a shock... but... World of Warcraft.

Ho man, so it never went through any patch changes, or content changes since launch?

Summer's not here yet so tons of underaged kiddies are still derping around in school and adults with jobs that give them summer vacation time can't hit 60 in 4 days.
If they had the Nexus out and a super hardcore group killed the biggest and baddest BAM in there as majority of the players are level 40, there would be lots of sad and angry potentially hardcore players.

Although, I can't argue with the BG system. Those would've been a great filler to the questing burn-out if they're going to be implemented for a variety of level ranges that is.

So what you're saying is, punish the people who are playing the game more than the people who aren't playing the game much? Good idea.

Look at it through the company's eyes, homie hairychest man rad guy.
If semi-hardcore players aren't enjoying the game and leaving because they have pretty close to zero chance of making it big, lots of profits to be lost.
Though, if En Masse takes it to the level Blizzard has taken WoW... yeah, no no NO, I'd rather play Runescape then. I don't ever want to play Runescape again, guy. =/

There are 7 other classes in the game, if once you hit 60 on one class you can't seem to find anything to fill your time.

Finished? MMOs are never "finished"

If any of you played Rift when it was released you would know there were two tiers of 5 man dungeons and a 20-man raid (Which were no where NEAR easy) released along with launch. The game also had Battleground, (11-50) tiered PVP rewards for leveling AND level capped PVP rewards. Reputations along with rewards.

This was Trion's first MMO that they didn't piggy back off of Koreans. What's En Masse's excuse?

I was playing WoW at launch. Molten core was incomplete, no bosses, Onyxia was bugged, there were awful loot issues, missing dungeons (maraudon was actually supposed to be in at launch) no pvp at all, period, and so on.

Next.

Having basic content releases that should have been from the start "by the end of May" is not good enough. An awful lot of people only picked this up to kill time before Diablo 3. The foundation of the game is good, but if it is going to remain in its unfinished state for at least a month before we even get basic endgame, they're going to lose a LOT of potential future subs when D3 comes out.

I doubt it.

D3 will keep people interested for about 2 weeks if that long. Besides being still way too easy it is actually surprisingly dull story/gameplay wise.

It has none of the feel of D1/2.

Most people I know enjoy the game, but do not see it worth a sub fee in its current state, me included. Since they seem to be taking their time with giving us the basics that Korea already has, I fear the game will be off everyone's radar and forgotten to better, more complete games before they get around to it.

Considering Nexus is brand spanking new one can't exactly call that a basic.

The only other thing missing is the political system and like the former they need a decent number of people actually at 60 for it to work.

Do they really need to give you an exscuse?

They took your money.

They took your time.

They've made promises.

That's about all you get.
