Any other official resoan why you ban Russia and CIS countries?

Also why you don't announce it in news? A lot of russian gamers already buy preorder for TERA, what sould they do?

They did announce it and the reason as to why they ip-blocked those regions. It's not only to protect the integrity of the quality of service we will get from our servers but to also keep out malicious behaviour suck as hacking, gold farming, botting, etc. that originate from those areas in copious amounts.

yep, but this is FAQ section, not official news on main page, people don't must search all over the site for this information. It must be announced like usually news.

Because playing an MMO is not just about smashing buttons at best possible ping, people like to play with other people, usually friends from other games. And since most popular games don't support IP blocking, people actually get to make friends and like to interact with, you know, the rest of the world.

And there should be a CLEAR announcement on the pre-order page. Only reason I discovered it was because it wouldn't let me put a Japanese address and I had to ask in forums (cuz honestly after all the no IP blocking announcements it didn't even cross my mind they were going to do it).

Because EME is out to make money, and allowing those countries to play on the NA servers would have higher potential cost than its potential gain.

Thus, when cost is higher than benefit, they pull the plug.
