Will YOU pay for this?

I have been following TERA for a long time now and was always very excited for it to be released in the US. However, the timing couldn't be worse for me. With D3 coming out soon and Guild Wars 2 right behind it, I'm not sure I want to pay a subscription for a game I might not have the time to play.

Regardless of the opinions on GW2, I plan to try it because of it's pricing model even though I hated the first game. Being a full time worker I don't have the time to sink into MMOs anymore like they usually demand. Also, the instant like PvP in GW2 is very attractive in that I won't have to waste countless PvE hours grinding for PvP. I have yet to understand TERAs PvP system and how long I have to level before its competitive, so if someone could explain that would be great.

Also, a lot of MMOs are taking the F2P option recently, and regardless of whether that is better or not, it certainly gives gamers a larger selection of games to choose from before choosing a subscription based game.

Bottom line: will you be subscribing? Why or why not?

Yes, cause my friends are playing, and cause i like the combat. GW2 so far doesn't have me as impressed, mostly because of how much i hated GW1.... Diablo III.. I admit, a very strong contender, but ill still play Tera just because I find it fun, thats the bottom line for me really. ;x (Has 20 hour/week part time job and attends college classes so meh, not epic free time here either)

I dont have to pay for d3 as i did the wow deal forever ago that agave it free so I will be paying for this and wow. I will buy guild wars 2 at some point when it is ready to release since it will be a one time buy. AS for subscribing for this I was going to do a 3 month but thinking of just changing it to a one year since will make it cheap and between this wow and d3 will be set i think for the rest of the year @@

Already pre-ordered the Collectors Edition and plan on grabbing a 3-month subscription.

It's the combat that keeps me coming back. I LOVE the combat system and since playing I can't go back to tab-target games (I tried). The gorgeous character designs, interesting zone designs and great graphics definitely don't hurt either.

I played through the Diablo 3 beta and it was a snoozefest to be honest. It's just an upgrade of D2 which was just an upgrade of D1. ZZzZZZzzZZZ.

Not really much interested in GW2 as I was never a big fan of the original. I'll probably try it at some point since it does have some interesting features, but again, a lot of it it just looks like more of the same in in a genre that pre-TERA was definitely starting to feel stale to me.

I already have and I intend to keep my subscription going as long as I'm having fun. I also fully intend to play GW2 when it releases and there's a good chance I'll try out D3 and TSW aswell.

So many games to look forward to!

Get over your self John. This just in, NO BODY CARES!!! If you sub you sub, if you don't wanna play than don't play. But it is not any of your concern if "we" sub and play this game. Stop pretending that your entitled to know such unimportant information.

You know don't us, we don't know you. It shouldn't matter what we think and what we think as a whole shouldn't keep you here anymore than it should send you away.
