not considering EME is an extension of BHS and the artist themselves made the edits?

not considering they did it of their own accord after they submitted the game to the rating board? the game was already approved with the original armors and already had its M rating that EME was happy with?

not considering that its only a handful of armors that are all low lvl by now and will be long forgotten even now? much more so as new content is added? and all future armors will be to standard as new ones are added, so no need for more edits? as seen by the very recent patch for lvl 60 content and the new armors?

Hmm ok. Well I did not know those things myself but if it is the artists and they are changing their ways then I have my answer as to what I should do. Thanks.

Edit: Could've been nicer about this. I was never interested in the English version until recently. Played till level 10 and kept noticed some armors edited and thought I'd ask. Now that I know TERA is changing from fan service to meh then I'll be unsubscribing from Japan as well. Also tell Kirov see if he can pull anything up. He might wanna quit too.

if you were playing the game for the T&A on a bunch of small, teen looking girls then..... ok. laters.

the new armors look awesome and fit the style they use now. if anything they look way better. its easy enough to find yourself. but dont let me stop you. do what you like.

Sakubo you seem informative are they really going to be going with "censored" armors from now on in Korea? Or do you not know and should I just wait and see?


That site shows the armors that were just released with there latest update the sets 19-21 are the newest teired armor in Korea. If you look at them they arent very westernized so my guess is they will still get censored here. As for armor sets past those I dont know its possible they will try to design sets around both audiences but I havent heard anything about it yet. I mean from a designer point it would save them trouble not having to design 2 sets but from a gamers stand point the skimpy outfits on the anime looking little girl is a big selling point in Korea / Japan for the elin and im not sure they would want to change that.

You dont know what your talking about. Every piece of elin armor that reveals there belly or there panties were changed. That is 99% of there armor even the higher level armor especially the cloth because almost all the cloth armor shows the characters in short robes and shows there panties underneath in the korean version. It is censorship and they were forced to do it. You can search the internet there is a nice artical that was written by one of the devs that worked on the game for the European release that pointed out that 2 big groups (i forget which ones) but they were making a big deal out of the game being released and so to prevent any trouble for them and other groups in the west they decided to alter all the elin armors. Have you even looked at the newest Korean models for armor? They still show elin in short robes example http://tera-online.cc/gallery/popori-fr/4490-popori_f_r21.html. That is one of the last if not the last elin cloth robe. That is a pic of the Korean version. Notice the short dress? Im sure the US version will have shorts underneath that just like all the other outfits have done. The game has censoring and alot of it but it only effects one race and people can live with it but dont act like its not there because it is.

Also about the nipple thing. Originally the Korean closed beta client had nipples on all the characters but when they were planning to port the game to Japan and then to the US / Europe they knew it would have to be removed so they decided to just remove them from all versions of the games instead of having characters that looked different from one client to another.

the nips edits never existed. its a fake. its been proven.

look man i lived thru the edits. i didnt just read about them, i was here when it happened.

the complaint with the armors was they they showed too much skin below the hips. it seemed off, like they where wearing shirts but no pants at all, think of girls who go to bed in their underwear and a big shirt to cover themselves.

the first thing we heard about the edits was that they looked like "Gothic stockings" which makes you think that they were going for something that covers the legs more than anything.

my theory is that the shorts we have now are do to the MASSIVE [filtered] storm people caused during those times and cut it back to "just shorts"

you can easily find pics of exactly what armors were edited.

some have said that some look better than before, while others look bad.

do you really think BHS is so stupid as to make armors only to have to REMAKE those same armors for the NA release?

nobody is that wasteful. not for a company who released their game in a rushed state and has been trying to catch up every since. they will make armors that are fit for use from the start.

i read somewhere that KTERA will get those same edits so all the games are on the same page.

stop losing your minds over the massive amount of propaganda a handful of idiots have been throwing around and just ride it out.

really back when this all started they keeped pounding away at the idea that the whole game would be flipped upside down. what happened? next to nothing, panties turned into shorts and people are still losing their every loving minds over it because they hear the word CENSORSHIP.

May i ask WTF is the big deal if they changed the armor on any of the models? I never got the point of [filtered]ing about armor not like its a game breaking thing it just makes these Elin look less pedobear like. And for me thats fine, doesnt really matter. Just so confused why people care so much that they wouldnt by the game cause they changed it. Me i like the combat system and alot of the other stuff it does, armor is just something my toon wears to protect or enhance his/her abilities.

As a female gamer just because I like to see my female characters dressed skanky at times doesn't mean I just like T&A. They were awesome looking.

Also as far as the combat system goes it does not speak out too me as much as others. I don't understand it. What makes it speak out to people? It just seems like WoW with quick action pressing to me in all honesty. You may say that you can chain them together but WoW did that too. I only say WoW because I played it for 4 years.

I played this because the armors wern't the same "SUPER TANK" looking thing. They went with the hilarious stereotype of Less Armor More Defense. Elins armor was just so adorable. I loved it!

it hardly matters. think what you like. you are neither right, or wrong, or important. in the realm of preference we all get to have our say but we cant all be happy.

Just copy your Japanese textures over to the NA folder.

Problem solved on your side.


As long as they don't make any further artistic changes, I will accept what has been done. But if they continue to change the game on a artistic level I will be leaving.
