If we download the beta, will we need to download the game on May 1st or will this version be patched?

My guess is that this version will probably be patched. That's how most MMOs do it.

Remains to be seen whether a full re-download will be necessary come May 1. We'll certainly have details one way or the other.

id go with them just patching. at lest thats what most mmos do, so i would be a little surprised if we had to redownload.

As far as I am aware the only two major MMOs I've seen that patch from beta to full have been RIFT and TOR, every other major MMO I beta'd in demanded a full redownload. The majority of small F2P ones I've played too did the same thing, then again, some of them remain in perpetual beta so its not like that'd ever arise *eyeroll*

I can't imagine they will make us download again. Most of the files will be identical and all wiped stuff is server side. They don't need to wipe my client.
