The last patch broke Tera in Windows 8. Does anyone have it working? What did you do? I have tried compatability mode and reverting drivers. It seems like it launches the process and it stalls.
I too fell victim to the latest patch on my laptop. Now my girlfriend and I can't play together >.< I've experienced this kind of an issue in the past and it had to do with the windows libraries being used by the client. Hopefully there's a fix soon, otherwise I'm going to have to cancel my subs until it is fixed.
So you are expecting a fix for an operatin system that isnt released yet?
Here is a fix, install Windows 7.
Windows 8 has been available in some form of 'beta' status for probably close to a year. The current release is 'Release Preview' I believe.
Yea, i've had the same isssue. I have talked with CS but it seems like we are just gonna have to wait for a fix or install a different OS.
Windows 8 is a complete joke. that's the problem 7-64bit > Linux > Android > give up and move to the woods.
Doesn't matter what you think of Windows 8.
Fact of the matter: It worked before. It doesn't after patch.
My troubleshooting so far points at something changing on the TL.exe file and the TERA.exe file.
When they run under processes, the TL.exe file is somehow renamed to show the date the file was originally registered (Which in my case dates back to 04/16/2012).
My guess is something in the registry.

I'm also running Windows 8 Release Preview build 8400 and can no longer play the game after today's patch. It was running so well before.
I'm not going to switch back to Win 7 just to fix this game. Everything else I'm doing with windows 8 is working flawlessly. Hopefully they'll work out how they broke compatibility quickly.
