A lot of people are quick to judge those of us who are using Windows 8 as a primary OS on a device. It is possible that someone has a legitimate reason to be running Windows 8 on their system. I know I run it on my laptop because, as a game developer, I was quite curious how our products ran under Windows 8 (flawlessly out of the box, mind you). My girlfriend was interested in TERA, so she would play from my work laptop (windows 8). Unfortunately it is no longer available on this platform and she is without TERA (and me by extension since we only play together).

The simple truth is, according to EME's own tool, my system is supported. The issue is only real because the game worked great under Windows 8 on Monday. It would be nice is EME took the time to fix the compatibility issue and allow my alternate computer the ability to play the game again.

Windows 8 releases in a few months, now is the time to start supporting it. Before long, computers will be shipping with Windows 8 and EME will have a more serious problem on their hands.

It is not supported to run Tera. That is all that should need to be said.

Everything else you are using to rationalize your irrational justifications is moot.

Anyone claiming that BHS/EME has zero need to support W8 RC is correct because Windows 8 Release Preview is not the same as Windows 8 Release.

It's a legitimate complaint (although not something to cry excessively about) and BHS/EME should fix it quickly.

BHS/EME should have compatibility with W8RC in preparation for W8 unless you're saying that BHS/EME should intentionally try to undermine their core business model and go bankrupt.

Who cares if TERA worked before on Win8...... Win8 IS NOT a supported OS as many people stated. This exact same thing happened on Win7 with many games when it was in testing

As seen in a convo with a GM that was posted earlier in this topic, they ARE working on making it Windows 8 compatible. They just have no need to ensure that compatibility is reached before Windows 8 is fully released.

Reason ALOT of MMO or games themselves dont add all this support for a beta OS is bc it can constantly change and making it a pain to update the game... thus why beta OS arnt supported till they are released
