They modify your existing skills and become available from level 20. You purchase specific glyphs for specific skills. Some increase duration, some reduce cost or cool-down, some power up the following chain skill, or have a chance to zero cool-down.

Once you purchase glyphs too, you'll gain a Glyphs tab in your skills menu (k) and you'll be able to allocate points to the glyphs you wish to use. You gain Glyph Points as you level and usually have about 14 or so to start off with. It adds a nice little customization to your characters and are really useful~

- Glyphs give you different changes to your skills depending on the glyph. For example: "Decreases cool down by 30%", "Increases attack speed by 50%" or "Decreases MP consumption by 300"
- Glyphs become available at level 20
- You need to use a glyph before you can see the glyph tab in your skills screen
- Press K to bring up the skills screen and you should see a glyph tab next to your skills tab
- The glyph trainer is next to your class trainer in Velika
- Each glyph takes a specific amount of glyph points
- You get more glyph points as you level
- You start out with 7 glyph points (I think I can't remember exactly)
- You can reset your glyph points at the glyph trainer for a gold cost

Ah yes. That reminds me. You purchase glyphs and they show up in your inventory. You have to right click them to "use" them. Then they show up on your glyphs tab to choose. Different glyphs have different "costs" from 2-6 or so and are locked once you apply them. You have to get a reset from the Glyphmaster if you want to respec.

Glyphs in Tera... could be considered the skill or Talent Trees in other games

So you can have a Sorcerer decked out in speed glyphs for PVP.. or +DMG glyphs for PVE.

Glyphs in TERA are comparable to talents in WoW. Except in TERA, you can have any kind of combination of glyphs without being limited by pre-requisite glyphs or talents. You are only limited by how many glyph points you have available to spend.

Depending on your class, some glyphs are going to be much more powerful and have larger impact than others, while some glyphs provide neat utility or fringe benefits.
