I've heard the devs recommend using a controller for a lot of people. It's works pretty well... especially compared to most other MMOs

I was wondering the same thing as well. I'll have to try it out on OBT.

I tried with a PS3 controller and I didn't really like it.

I prefer to my Mouse and keyboard since they allow me to use more buttons and feel less clunky.

But yeah, you can do it. Also the Xbox controller is (obviously) supported by Microsoft so you don't need to run other programs to make it work.

Except if I missed something but I did need MotionJoy for my PS3 controller to work and even then, I had to install it as if it was a Xbox controller so...

It's best for melee characters, aiming becomes pretty weird with casters and very slow. However, it's extremely fluid and fun with melee classes. I even had a blast on a berserker with my xbox controller.
