I'm looking forward to the game!

I also don't think things will be as bad as people think. I also think complaining is premature since the game isn't live yet.

Cheers,

GG

Of course some people are going to like it. That is not really the issue. The issue is that there are many, like myself, who do -not- like it and yet it is forced on us anyway. The player base is likely split on this issue (like many others). The real issue is how does EME satisfy -both- sides? The only way to satisfy both sides is for EME to come up with some way to have servers with it, and some "hard core" servers without it. And since the hard core PvP community (most likely the same ones against cross server LFD) already want a hard core server ruleset, it seems like a win/win to me.

Calling people out who oppose your viewpoint as trolls is not exactly the most beneficial way to garner support for your post. Everyone is welcome to their opinions. Although I am personally against LFD being cross-server, I certainly welcome opposing viewpoints in civil, mannerly discussion.

I hate LFD but IMO a compromise would be having an LFD that is NOT cross server and that does NOT teleport the group to the dungeon. Essentially it just helps to build groups and that's it.

No need to make these topics,

EnMasse is obviously only caring for the playerbase that doesn't care about the community and the political system it has pushed for so long.

They are certainly listening, but just ignoring posts they don't want to comment and clerify.

It blows my mind how all these GMs are told one way by their superiors, but the CM has exactly opposite information that all the GMs have.

Yeah, I personally don't like artificial LFD content at all, but if last resort I guess that would be an acceptable compromise :)

LFD is optional, how hard is it to understand?

The only people who won't walk to the dungeons, are those who didn't want to fight PvP on the way anyway. So you'll get to fight every single person, who wanted to fight you. The only people you won't meet, are those whose game session you'd ruin by attacking them.

But go ahead, if you think you deserve to ruin the game for others, complain some more.

How hard is it for you to understand that when you add something to a game that affects the entire community, that it affects us all whether we use it or not?

How many times, by how many different people, do you need to hear this before it sinks into your thick skull?

Yet I've seen you post this exact sentence over a half-dozen times like you're a damned broken record.

Agreed. Except from what I've read continuously is that a lot of anti-LFD people are not quite so civil or mannerly in any form. They continually attack players who want the LFD and give reasons for wanting it but are shouted down by people crying, "Nooo! You'll destroy the community/pvp/my family!" without giving any kind of evidence except their own anecdotal evidence as a basis for their 'facts'. Or telling people they're a "casual" and that they're single handedly destroying the game industry. How about EME making the game into a WoW clone and that we "LFD peasants" should all find another game to play, quite IGNORING the fact that LFD was in Ktera in the first place. My favorite? People spouting off their MMO experience as if that gives them any sort of credibility when it comes to game design. What a goddamn riot.

So, no, quite opposite. The ones who are civil and give out real reasons why LFD is a good idea are shouted down by people who are openly and willingly hostile to them. I do not blame OP one bit that he called them trolls. Quite frankly, I'm tired of it all.

LFD is in TERA, deal with it. The core issue is the lack of Open World content which should draw people out of towns and into the actual world, which the anti-LFD people continuously ignore.
