So (in b4 cool story, bro), I'm waiting in LFD for a BT group. You know, nothing new for anyone. I get in and the group consists of everyone having a blue weapon aside from the Sorc, who has a 59 weapon.
Tank immediately goes to kick. Normally, I just wanna get [filtered] done, but I figure, what the hell? I'll decline. We have more than enough gear to [filtered] this place up. Tank goes to kick again, I decline, and again, same result.
The tank decides that if he doesn't get kicked, he won't do anything. He's the leader, none of us can do anything. And he's got a guildy with him, so we couldn't vote him out anyway. Stalemate.
Anyway, I decide that if the Lancer doesn't wanna get up off his [filtered], I'll just save him to the instance. I give him a warning, he doesn't comply. I attack the boss and lock him to the instance for an hour.
Now we're all just sitting around because everyone refuses to leave and getting nothing done. I don't mind, I'll do anything to prove a point.
Question is, what do you think En Masse could do about these situations, if anything?
(BTW, the guildies are Wallsteel(Lancer) and Paper.Moon(Archer) from <supremacia>, Jagged Coast)
I'm not sure if it's Enmasse's responsibility to make people stop acting like children.
Nothing. There are going to be morons like your lancer, and you just have to hope you don't run into one.
My guild is actually pushing the hell out of me to get me to 60 so I can start tanking end game for them because I don't do stuff like this.
They should implement it (if not already done so) you won't queue into parties with people on your blocked list.
Just had the same thing, ported into a run in progress, hadn't been there before. As the warrior is explaining what I needed to do I got kicked by the tank. I would love to be able to add people like that to a cross server block list.
I dont get it personally.
I've only ever kicked people for not entering the dungeon, and thats usually after a 5 min wait and several warnings in party. I've never kicked a zerker, never kicked an archer. I deff dont kick based on weapon glow, sheesh. I guess I was one of the first 60 and NONE of us have blue weapons when we first started clearing these dungeons ... so blue glow does not impress me at all.
Really if people wanna kick for these reasons, your just better off not grouping with them. I agree that you should be able to block people from other servers and not be grouped with them again in the LFD tool.
Personally, I would like an "instance split" option. One player declares they want to split the instance and who they don't want coming with them, everyone else has a chance of going with the player that initiated the split or sticking with the people they want to split off from, and then two identical copies of the instance are created, one for each half of the party, and they can both re-queue to get new members.
So in this case, OP can initiate a split, deciding he doesn't want the lancer in the group. The other three members can decide whether they want to go with the OP's group, or the lancer's group - let's say the archer decides to stick with the lancer, and the sorc and healer go with the OP. There's now two identical instances, with the same mobs and bosses already killed; one has the lancer and archer, the other has the OP, sorc, and healer. Both groups can decide to queue up again to get a full group and continue with the instance.
Of course, implementing this and making sure it works would be difficult. But I do agree that if you have someone on your block list, they shouldn't be put in the same group as you.
(Hopefully, once the buff to warrior tanks comes in, the queue times won't be so ungodly long for DPS...)
I don't know why this happens to people and not me, like ever lol. Yesterday would be a perfect example.
I queued up(lancer) by myself for BT, instant queue of course. I get people all from the same server(not mine) - Priest, Archer, Warrior, Slayer. Nobody had glowing weapons, I didn't even bother to inspect but I already knew they didn't have +9 or even +7 and might have even been fresh 60 or rather fresh.
But I didn't care, nobody said anything crazy, we charmed up and went along our merry way. We cleared the entire dungeon without a single wipe, or a single death on any boss for that matter.
I honestly think people overestimate how well geared you have to be for that dungeon, in fact I don't understand how people don't think back to that first week when everybody was doing it for the first time..they cleared it then with little knowledge of the instance and obviously without super gear, I don't know why all of a sudden its '+9 or GTFO' or "ARCHER GTFO, ZERK GTFO"
What's wrong with gamers nowadays man.
