I understand that the closed beta event 1 starts on the 10th so the question is when do us who pre-ordered receive our keys to begin our downloads seeing as how its 30gig its gonna take awhile to download it

I think I saw twitter posts that said that the keys would be sent out later this week. So ... maybe tomorrow? Maybe?

I was just told we'll have a few days in advance to download the client. About the keys though I'm not sure.
If you did a digital download they dont have to give you a key since its tied into your Account.
The downloads will probably be 2 or 3 days before release. Also since its closed beta they might not give us the full client and have us test things during each event

I may be very wrong here, as I have no real knowledge of the effort put into the English version, but the game itself is a working thing. It's been out in Korea for long enough to find major system errors.
It seems to me that the whole beta experience is to find minor glitches, translation errors and to market the game as a whole.

You'd be surprised in the amount of work people put into westernizing a game. A LOT of things change, not just translations - even some major game mechanics change to cater to the western player base, because we're so much different than the Korean's mind set in terms of MMO difficulty.

I'm really hoping that at least the last closed beta and the one open beta use the full client. Not so much for myself, but for those people that have rather limited internet / download limits and can't afford to redownload everything all over again. Plus, it would definitely suck preordering the game and having the two day early access, but not being able to play due to having to download the game all over again (assuming the digital version, not retail). I have a few friends that are stuck in this predicament..
