So, my friend had his account hacked this afternoon, and they changed his email address(because changing email addresses doesnt require security questions)

he contacts the support(using a different email address) and says that someone hacked his account.

the gms search for the email address using the forum name, and find out that SOMEONE ELSE has also talked to a gm saying that the account was hacked.

they have no idea how to proceed, so they are escalating the ticket for review... (it would be hysterical of they end up having a jeopardy style quiz about the character over the last month or two.)

The best way to solve account-claim issues, is by government-issued IDs. The ID should match the name registered on the account, and given back to the person who can provide proof of such.

I really hope that's sarcasm...

If not, I'm fairly sure I can get some fake I.D.s for anyone that needs one... >.>

I doubt it was "hacked." I'm guessing he was phished, and hopefully will learn from his slip-up

My Facebook was hacked! I left it logged in and the person that lives with me walked past and posted stuff on my account!

It's staggering to see how often the word hacked is using to describe something that isn't a hack at all.

Yea, but South Korea is far different from the Western countries.

If I recall correctly, you are forced to go to college for 4 years or enlist with the military for 4 years at 18. (maybe it's 2 years...my SK uncle got deported back and is serving in the military now because he blew off his college classes in the States)
