The new launch features page highlighted the changes to "early play" and noted that there would be new quests added to break the repetition.

Quest Variety: Dozens of new quests that take TERA far beyond repetitive "hunt," "gather," and "deliver" tasks, and reveal the world's rich history and cultures.

Up to level 15 and so far I don't think that I've come across a single new or different quest. What does EME consider "early play" again? Has anyone else come across any new quests that they can point out, because I would love to check them.

The prologue was probably what they meant. And from what I remember, it wasn't hunting, gathering or delivering.

Everytime someone asks this question I think "what else do they think they would do to level?"

I mean seriously..going back all the way to pen and paper D&D...you kill monsters you earn experience. You complete tasks/get items and deliver them you get experience...

What DO you guys want?

Do you just want experience for standing around? I don't get it.

The only game that successfuly strayed from this was EVE and that system had it's own issues(no control over speed of progression outside of maxing stats first).

I'd like to level up fighting powerful, challenging Monsters, big and small. Instead of killing trees whose only means of attack is tripping over themselves.

I'd also like not having to grind these easy, repetitive, kill X trash quests that are !@#$ing everywhere.

I see you've confused the first 10 levels of the game with the entire 60. I'm sorry for your loss.

Isn't that just killing / hunting... you do that. You do that most of the game... newb island is newb.

Here are a few more examples of quest types that would help break the monotony:
Defend
Assault
Repair
Escort
Combos/Mechanic
Text based/QA

I think the real problem is that people draw a line at fedex/kill/gather and call it a day as far as quest types are concerned. My issue is that TERA plainly states that they have done this, and we all know they have the capability to do all of the above quite often, but they don't.

I've confused to first 20 levels.
I forgot, I have to grind to get to the fun stuff.
