Every time i que as dps for a dungeon the estimate time is 12 mins ok fine. However, it has been more than 5 times that i wait in the que for 1 hr and more . Same thing happens to my healer friend.
The queue probably isn't broken but the estimates are dead wrong lol. What level are you? I've noticed there are very few lancers at the higher levels going on instance matching so queuing for the level 58+ dungeons takes hours to get into a group.
The estimate is wrong. those queues are averages for everyone that queue. Tanks get in instantly, healers get in 1-10 minutes, and DPS take forever.
Only 1 class being able to queue as a tank doesn't help either. Like Jet said, I reckon not many lancers at 56+ using the matching tool. Cause it really takes forever.
I have been trying to do Saleron's to advance the story quest with a dps friend, and we spent over 2 hours in queue.
I don't think it's broken, rather there are just too many dps in queue than tanks and healers. And there are probably more premades looking for a couple more people to fill the spots than single dps in queue waiting for a group.
It's the same kind of bottleneck that games with the holy trinity faces - so many dps, fewer healers, and even less tanks.
Considering the q' times for Lancers in comparison to all the rest, the real issue is mostly sure the lack of tanks.
Problem is that you can't really add a flagging system for the queue, because every Warrior, irregardless of build, will queue as a tank. Then you factor in that 90% of them have no idea how to actually evade tank and most likely blame the Mystic/Priest when they die...
Gotta love them lowest common denominators.
Spent three hours waiting for one party member in two separate dungeons (SA and GL)... a tank. Effin stupid that you need to wait that much just to complete the story quests.
