so i just spent 4k on my lv 60 weapon thats enchantable and now i thought id go and get the perfect stats for it (like x2 8% attack speed and crit on bam or + dmg from behind) thinking itd be easy with that dust u can buy 2 lock in the ones you want.. it cost me 200g for 12 of them (so i could lock in one enchant) i got one 8% attack speed and locked it in and then used my enigmatic scroll so i could try and get more good stats and keep my 8% attack speed.. i had no luck wich is fine so i tried using it again but then it said i dont have enough powder to lock in any of the bonus things i have wich i thought would be fine till i get another attack speed or one i wanted then id go and buy 12 more dust.. BUT it unlocked my 8% attack speed meaning id need 2 go spend another 200g every single time i want to use the scroll to try and get the stats i want while keeping the 8% attack speed.. and way way more untill i got all 4 stats i wanted now theres no way in hell ill never have that kind of money why the hell doesnt it lock in the stat forever rather than just once this is bs i may aswell give up on getting good stats on my weapon i only have 106g left ffs

It's supposed to be expensive.

Else everyone would have the best stat combination... common sense.

Sorry, this is an issue for you - but you don't need to lock stats, it's for the rich and famous.

For the cost involved, stats should lock permanently unless you want to remove them. The locking idea was great, but poorly implemented.

I do think it would have been better if the stat was locked permanently if you did chose to lock it, meaning that weapon would be stuck with the stat you locked and you would have to acquire and enchant a new weapon for different stats.

But it is a gold sink, and most people will be fine with it how it is.

+1
cheaper just to spam regular scrolls till you get the 4/4 stats you want, also more chances at masterworking it

For the benefit you can get and how much easier it is to get a perfect weapon (just reliant on cash now) I'd say not permanently locking it is perfect. There has to be some tradeoff, and 200g is not a high enough tradeoff for perfect stats.

It makes you reconsider rerolling that 40 times as opposed to locking one stat once.

I disagree with both of you on the perma lock thing.

I think it should remain as is... it's a massive gold sink (which is needed) and I don't think everyone should be able to attain the greatest item/enchant combo so easily.

That's my opinion.

200g is for 1 stat for 1 try

so it's 200g for 1 turn, untill you get the next stat you want, then it's 400g for 1 turn to hold 2 stats, then you gotta get the +6 what you want it then that turns into 600g a turn for 3 stats locked

so no, it's not 200g for perfect stats

I think constant enchant attempts are enough of a gold sink. RNG eats a lot of gold just from that.
