At least on my lancer I'm dodging and blocking. at a range It's simply kiting in pve


Yeah, I've noticed the same issue.

Priests have some great AoE melee attacks, but those are better used on distracted mobs in a group.

The first BAM I fought was a big dragon made of bones? It had the BAM symbol and took a while to kill but he probably only hit me once because I have 1 second delay.

I agree that the start of the game is a big turn off.

So far my only ranged experience was a elin mystic and a elin sorc both i only lvled to about 12 before the beta time ran out. Played to 27 on my lancer though. It could get better as you level but sicne I just made it off noob island I dunno yet. But so far mostly run in a circle and pew pew.

where is his dragon, my first bam was the baselisk in the deva areas.

For sorc at least, you'll be using a lot more spells by the time you're 16-18, and by 20 you'll feel untouchable -- pretty much right after getting arcane pulse.

Unfortunately, that's all the farther I've made it. I suspect it will become more difficult (mainly because of inability to withstand hits) the further you go. My zerker can take nearly double the # of mobs as my sorc though at the current level. But no, sorc doesn't just stay 2 spells. =)

It wasn't part of any quest. It's err, north of Credestine or whatever that town was called.

That's no dragon...



It's a dead rhino with a bad-a**, pointy helmed guy on top. Even his helmet is a deadly weapon, though he only really uses that sword, which wiped out about 20-25% of my poor level 16 warriors HP with each connect, and the swing arc is WIDE. Dodging in the wrong direction meant I got hit.

For the record, he wasn't a BAM, just a rare spawn, but he was still fairly durable and very dangerous.
