There is nothing wrong with the enchanting system. What you are seeing when you look at these forum topics is a biased cross section of enchanting experiences. Not all sides are represented. I myself have had no issues with the current system. Some have had better luck. Some have had worse.

Solely from reading the forums here, it would seem like enchanting is a total PITA and is going to cost you like a hundred thousand to get your whole set done, that it's going to be a never ending abyss that will eat your soul. But the thing is, it only seems that way because the only people who come to the forums and post about enchanting are the people who have gotten the short end of the stick, who have terrible luck as far as enchanting luck goes.

In reality, there are probably just as many people who have had very good luck at enchanting, they just go unrepresented here because they don't come here and make topics about it. Long story short, I would be willing to bet that on average, enchanting isn't nearly as bad as this forum would have people believe, that there are just as many stories of enchanting glory as there are of enchanting sorrow. It's just that all we ever see here are the stories of extreme enchanting failure, because the others who have had average or great experiences with the enchanting system don't come here to tell people about it.

having any sort of great experience with the enchanting system and thinking you're somehow better off for it just indicates how much of a skill-less retard you are that is easily amused by the most basic of systems. If I cared enough I could probably have +9'd all my [filtered] by now or be on to t13, but, it's not worth it, it's not challenging. Even if I got +9 easily, it would have just been a fruitless endeavor because the effort put in to determine whether or not I did was not my own. Enchanting just makes me feel like some stupid zombie who is a slave to the game mindlessly trying to get more gold and fodder so that I can be at the whim to a randomization function. How the hell can anyone find that fun? Sad. This game and the community has become everything it sought out not to be. MMO-FO? rofl. I laugh at all the bull[filtered] EM feeds everyone in their PR schemes so contrary to how everything really is.

i have not started yet but i have read about the problems people have with enchanting items. Will they ever fix this or is it just going to stay lame?

What's with the insults? Why are you so childish and angry? Like I said, just as there are people who got screwed by the enchanting system, there are plenty of people who have had good experiences with it. They just don't come here to post topics about it because all this place if good for is people like yourself to come and complain about things and spew verbal garbage all over the place. People, like the OP, come here and see a ton of people crying about getting the shaft while enchanting and automatically assume that it's how it is for everyone. And it's not, plain and simple. That was the entire point of my post. As for the rest of the drivel you posted, LOL. Cry harder.

so you've read that a TINY amount of people complain about it, and decided to make yet ANOTHER thread about it? that's not how forums work, if you'd like to discuss a topic that is hot, post in one of the numerous threads about said topic. do not make uninformed posts about same topics, otherwise it is just spam.

I've yet to see a single good counter-argument for this game's enchanting. Only what could pretty much be summarized as "i'm lucky so i have no problem with it. oh so you don't like it because it's a challengeless tedious and often rewardless system based on dumb luck? cry more".

I honestly don't like these threads being created anymore simply because 1) there's really nothing to be said that hasn't already been said about this [filtered] enchanting system and 2) you're going to get nothing but an army of bad trolls and fanboys who just bash you and run your thread into the ground.

With that being said, I'm just gonna let this thread die and pray that others do the same.
