Graviora Manent has recently undergone significant leadership changes and is looking to re-establish itself again as still one of the oldest and most respected guilds in the TERA community. Some of the leadership decided to part ways but the original founders are still here and as dedicated as ever to making GM a place for players to call home.

questions:
Is there something special about the guild, something that really unifies its members, something that makes this guild different from any other pvp centric "Hardcore" guild?
Does the guild prohibit PKing? Lowbie PKing? endorse PKKing?
How does one ensure that a member of GM is not riding "free to the top"? i.e. monthly guild medal quotas for each player? What's your policy on discerning your "weakest link" and removing it?
Do you or other members of the guild have extensive knowledge or experience from other versions of TERA?
How many hours per day will the guild leader be logged in?
What specific goals do you have for your guild (the more goals the better)? Are you aiming for vanarchy, and if so, of which province?

Ohhh I like people who ask a lot of questions. Show's they really take the time to understand what it is they might be getting into. Let me try to break all these down for you..

QUESTION: Is there something special about the guild, something that really unifies its members, something that makes this guild different from any other pvp centric "Hardcore" guild?

ANSWER: There are many things that makes GM different from the typical guild in my opinion. The first thing being I personally have been apart of many guilds over a 10+ year career in MMO gaming so I've learned a lot of things. Some of those things are what is unnecessary and even harmful in a guild and what isn't. I could go into more detail on some of this but I don't want to give away to many of our unique ideas.

QUESTION: Does the guild prohibit PKing? Lowbie PKing? endorse PKKing?

ANSWER: If by PKing you mean non-consensual world PVP, then no that's apart of being on a PVP server period. If by lowbie PK you mean hunting down low level when you're max level, then no I don't support that. There's no benefit to it and it only does harm to community which is a short sighted move. And I would assume by PKK you mean hunting down people who do harass lowbies. This is something we don't have as of yet have an official stance on since don't know the severity of how lowbie PK might go down but if need be GM would be one of the guilds who would gladly go down to Lumber Town or wherever to clear out [filtered]s, if for no reason other than to have some PVP ourselves.

QUESTION: How does one ensure that a member of GM is not riding "free to the top"? i.e. monthly guild medal quotas for each player? What's your policy on discerning your "weakest link" and removing it?

ANSWER: There are many ways this is done but really it's just about enforcing the concept that every member has a part to play in the guild's success. Even if it's just bumping the recruitment thread and being active in the website/VOIP you are doing something to contribute. As for other things that are done we do take time to evaluate and train our members who show the willingness to improve and open mindedness to take constructive criticism. In this way we either strengthen the weakest links or remove them entirely, depending on the person's personal choices.

Once again we do also have other ideas on this type of topic but don't want to give away to many of the ideas we have for internal guild policies. Nothing destructive though.

QUESTION: Do you or other members of the guild have extensive knowledge or experience from other versions of TERA?

ANSWER: Yes, we have all played KTERA extensively, some of us as much as over a year ago when TERA first released in Korea, and some even more recently gathering information, writing guides, etc.

QUESTION: How many hours per day will the guild leader be logged in?

ANSWER: Embarassing one! Hehe, I do play ALOT. Right now I'm doing classes over internet so I spend a large majority of my time logged in to the guild VOIP and around to be talked to/asked questions of at any time. This will translate into the game as well obviously. Right now the officers in general easily fulfill a 40-50+ hour weekly attendence.

QUESTION: What specific goals do you have for your guild (the more goals the better)? Are you aiming for vanarchy, and if so, of which province?

ANSWER: We have many goals in mind, not least of which is to have fun and enjoy TERA itself. We've waited a very long time for this game to release and now that the moment is here we want to soak it all in. Yes we do want to run for Vanarchy at some point but we don't have a specific Province in mind as of yet. These will be things we'll discuss with our allies when time comes and evaluative depending on our members input as well.

Beyond that we want to do many things such as help run server events, both inner guild and ally invitation tournaments, friendly GVG and unfriendly GVG if necessary, Nexuses, Conquer all hardmode Dungeons, etc etc and on into the BGs when they're added and hopefully Server vs Server.
