Tonight we will get our first set of 15 Vanarchs. I would like to congratulate the winners, and offer condolences to the others. Now most of soon to be Vanarchs have made promises to the public; specific tax rates, special events, or even policing the region they win. I have taken the time to record these promises and will include them in the next post. I think it would be prudent to see who delivers what they promise.

If I have made any mistakes please quote the source and I will correct my post.

I like how RoE Say's they will police the region, when all they do is Gank people all day.

ToT Campaign - Tortilla on Taxes
On a more serious note, I would like to discuss taxes for Lorcada. I see every other Vanarch candidate making promises of 1% tax rates. While I do not want to make empty promises to the community, and a void promise of this extremely low tax rate; I can promise you that I will never have taxes of 7% during my time as your Vanarch. I do plan to set them to 1-4% across the board to begin, just to see how the money comes flowing in. Don't worry though! While yes, some of this coin may be spent on guild relations; I would also love to contribute some back to the community.

With the coin earned through your hard earned tax dollars, I plan to cycle our lands and fix up pot holes and build better freeways so our horses, panthers and lions can have safe travels without breaking their legs frequently.

In all honesty, I do plan on contributing to you guys if the money is right. I would like to host some events in Lorcada with coin / rare item rewards such as, but not limited to:

PvP events
GvG events
Scavenger Hunts
Find the Elin
Find and slaughter the Elin
Mount Races

among others as our community grows.

We do? As far as ganking goes we usually have a group out in Kanstria looking for PVP and yeah sometimes that includes stirring people up by killing soloers/smaller parties, but I'd hardly call us a gank guild. I'm not taking offense to what you said or anything, just not sure where we gained that stigma.

I would also like to add, the only guild I saw talk about Policing the PVP in their province was Vincit Omnia. Refelctions of Eternity didn't make that promise.

Here's the quote from our (RoE's) campaign post.

"We would also like to stipulate that we operate on an “all guilds are welcome policy”. You’re free to come hang out with us. We will hold no prejudice, apart from GvGs and Outlaws obviously. After all, it’s a public server. While we may govern the area in the record books, the province itself still belongs to the Jagged Coast community."

EDIT: it was pointed out to me that there is a blurb about zone protection in our policy thread that I must have overlooked. I apologize.

Vincit Omnia's campaign thread states; "Guardians - VO will rally forces to protect guilds or players in distress in the province we control..."

Just thought I'd clear up the misinformation.

It sounds like the crying of someone who did not campaign very well and did not receive any support as a result. Yes, you can go ahead and say well only zerg guilds are going to get voted in even though they aren't the best choice yadda yadda.

Maybe that's true, but if nobody knows you, then how could you possibly expect to get votes?

I'm in Massacre, so not me. This is just my observation from the OP. He's posted in other threads with the same complaints.
