Guild Bank Ninjaed -- EN MASSSE'S RESPONSE

For me, it's not even the "We can't help you" it's the attitude of the second GM. He's basically just saying "go [filtered] yourself" in a roundabout way.

What I find humorous is the ammount of troll garbage coming out of everyone's mouth when the intention of the OP was to inform the community of an issue that can be an issue for all guilds. Rather then constructive replies people resort to bashing and trolling which just tarnishes their own guilds name. But hey, haters gunna hate. More importantly loosing a couple thousand gold and farmable items from the guild bank doesn't take away from Thirstys success or accomplisents and dominance on Jagged Coast. And even more, all the trolling just shows you what kind of people are part of these other guilds on ther server. A topic is posted to inform people of a mishap, people troll it. Sure makes me want to vote for those guilds for Vanarch in the future... Oh wait why would I want to vote for [filtered]ery.

The morale of the story is, you can guild hop and rob guild banks without consiquence. GG WP En Masse. Shame on the community, other then the few people that have actually had constructive replies to the topic on hand. You guys are truely scholars and gentlemen.

Wow, just wow. It looks like Tera has gathered the WORST community possible, period. You people think the way the GMS / CS handled this was good? I don't really care if this was the fault of Garbuk, EME handled this terribly. I am a TL for a webhosting company customer support and if anyone everrr talks to a customer this way it's insta - fire , how gms can talk to paying customers this way is absolutely crazy. Nobody said this was EME's fault, they didn't rob the bank of course it isn't. I'm really glad that this was posted on the forums, it definitely backs my opinion that the community and the company running this game are both terrible.

A lot of you are just kids or, just not really using your brains on this one, sorry for talking negative but this community saddens me. Some of you are saying that the GMS responded this way because Garbuk is acting like a 5 year old. Really? This guy has people watching his streams that are still on the fence about Tera, him and his guild are possibly bringing in new players to this game and he deserves to be spoken to this way, even if it's policy then just keep saying ( with empathy) that there's nothing you can do. These guys are straight rude. Sorry for your loss Thirsty and please ignore these people that are backing EME on this one.

Basically at first i was like well that sucks but how did they get Gbank rights to begin with now I thought about it and basically what happened was embezzlement.

At that point where the victim will either receive the money/goods back if they are still accessible or not through a court order. The agressor is generally sent to jail or ordered to do community service or house arrest etc.

EME's stance on this is terrible. We rely on them to police the game by preventing harassment, handling account hacks, and you would expect them to take care of an act of embezzlement too.

Embezzlement is the act of dishonestly withholding assets for the purpose of conversion (theft), of such assets by one or more individuals to whom such assets have been entrusted, to be held and/or used for other purposes.

EmE expects us to police ourselves on a pvp server, thus we have slaps on the wrist for things. This type of thing is common in other games that have a focus on guild versus guild and even ones that don't.

Reguardless of the intention of the thread, the OP comes of complaining about something that should be expected within a hostile game like this and pretty much badgers the gms because he doesn't get his way. Not saying the GMs are right with their attitude, but they are right in staying with their policy. If thirsty would just go back to farming they'd get their stuff back.

Is this a threat to other guilds? Yes it is, and should had been a perceived threat before it even happened. It is also one of the most preventable threats.

Honestly even in costumer service, there comes a time when you have to be more blunt when the person you are talking to just continues to badger.

It isn't a scam if you hand your property willingly to someone you don't know.

Don't want your things to be taken? Don't give people access to freely take them. The more people who adopt a conservative policy like this, the fewer thefts of this magnitude you'll see.

If actual exploitation or circumvention of game mechanics had been employed, then obviously OP would be justified in demanding reparations, but as it stands, the thief had permission from OP to take things from the guild bank. Period.

As a long-time EVE player, I find this thread to be amusing, if a little quaint.

Lol. This makes Thirsty seems like a bunch of retards.

Moral of the story, it was Thirsty's fault for giving a cheese [filtered] access to their funds and gear. Ya'll gave buddy the power to ninja from you. Keep in mind, I have never heard of anyone calling themselves a ninja when someone unlocks the door and opens it for them. LOL again at Thirsty for their bad judge of character.

1) You were rude

2) He answered your questions

3) Its your responsilbity to put people in power that you trust

4) I'm sorry but there wasn't much they could do. It's in their policy, you knew this going into it.

5) I have worked in customer support for almost 10 years and customers who come in the way you did, don't get anything from me and will get simple/quick responses to get you outta my hair.

Being rude gets you no where and being pushy gets you nothing.

I do have sympathy for you, but I also understand that rules are rules.

Thanks for letting us all know about this and letting us learn from your mistake.

Oh, Thristy, keep in mind that it is also against policy to continuously create posts about the EnMasse tech support. Read the rules of the forums, cause those are some rules that you ARE breaking.

So if I give you permision to enter my house, does that give you permision to take my personal belongings as you see fit? Your logic is flawed. If I gave you permision to enter my house as a guest, and you walked off with my 60' LED TV, you would be going to jail for theft.
