Similar to the pre-organized PVP that is taking place on VoT, I would like to speak out and offer that we as a community should come together and work together in hopes of making the Elections, voting, and such more organised on Jagged Coast.
My suggestion is simple;
5v5/10v10 Server wide tournament, where guilds can sign up and compete, in a bi-weekly event that runs in time with the election period.
It will be a controlled event with all interested PVP guilds involved.
This will give the guilds and community an opportunity to shine, and it will give everyone on the server a way to be part of the community, and influence directly the politics built into the game.
Aphotic are working with other guilds on VoT to organize the tournament there, most guilds are on board at this point.
What is the point of the tournament? What do you get?
- Simple, by participating the guilds who participate vow to vote for the top three winners for the top three provinces.
First place gets first pick, and all participating guilds will vote for them in their chosen province..
Second place gets second pick, and all participating guilds will vote for them in their chosen province.
Third place gets third pick, and all participating guilds will vote for them in their chosen province.
This is not only a way to establish organized PVP events, that will encourage the server to come together, but it will also be an indirect way of winning provinces by PVP until battlegrounds are out.
Please post a response if your guild is interested, as we have already heard from the community that most people are down for this kind of thing!

[EDIT] To modify this I would like to say that firstly - provinces were originally designed so that some would be won by popular vote and others would be won by 5v5/10v10 battlegrounds, BGs are not in the game at this point, so there is no way for PVP to win out over popular vote; therefor the current system favors large guilds and large alliances of guilds, not any smaller sized guilds, or tighter nit guilds.
This system is open to debate, and it would essentially be up to the community to decide how to work it or use it, or to what extent to use it. To use it on only specific regions during election, or to use it on many provinces. Or whether it is 5v5/10v10/20v20 or more... It is up to the guilds to come together and keep open lines of communication.
We (Vincit Omnia) are building a community website known as the " Official Jagged Coast Alliance of Guilds" ... it will serve as a hub for us all to openly discuss all of this and to organize large events for the benefit of the community.
Even if the majority of guilds do not wish to participate or a large sector of the community wishes it to only be an event and not hold weight in voting then it will still be a great way to support the community and for all and any Vanarch Guild candidates to become known.
