Thirsty Thursday – Jagged Coast PvP Event!

Location: 5:45 PM PST in Bastion
As you may know, Thirsty is aspiring to be one of the community leaders for Jagged Coast! While having a blast with the community, we felt there was a way for everyone to get to know us more personally. As we pool our resources together, we have come up with a way to give back to the community; a tournament. This is no ordinary tournament, however. This is a Thirsty Sponsored event, so you know it will be good.
Tournament Basis:
- 32 Team Tournament
- 5v5 style team deathmatch
- 15,000 Gold Prize to winning team
Rules:
1. Teams will be composed of 5 competitors and 1 sub-in. Subs may only be subbed in between matches.
2. Teams are not required to enter with a sub-in member, but know if it is your time to compete, and you are not fully ready, you will be disqualified from the event.
3. Team Captains will register their team in THIS THREAD in a SINGLE POST with all player’s IN GAME NAMES.
4. Event will take place THURSDAY, MAY 31st at 6 P.M. PACIFIC STANDARD TIME
5. The FIRST 32 teams to sign up will get Dibs on the 32 team slots for the tournament (to some of you 32 might not seem like very many, but until we see if this is even going to work, lets keep it simple and see how the community handles this)
6. The entire tournament is a best of 3 setting. Meaning, you must win 2 out of 3 times to advance in the bracket
7. Health and Mana potions will be allowed but no other consumables will be permitted -- i.e. no scrolls, PvP pots, etc.
8. No outside Healing/Buffs.
9. You must not leave the designated match area.
10. The team deathmatch mechanic within the game will be used for each match, so people don't have to declare themselves outlaws.
11. Teams that no show OR BREAK ANY OF THESE RULES will be automatically disqualified and excluded from future events.
The event itself will take place at a TBD location. Each Thirsty Official will take the bracket assigned to them to the proper area. We will have multiple matches at once to save time.
This seems like a lot, so if you have any questions don’t be afraid to ask. I will quote each serious question and update the main forum post so others know the answer.
Please try and be civil about this, as this is something we are hosting for the community. We hope to create a place that people keep coming back to, and getting to know each other with competition. You may not be friends, but you can prove yourself in the tournament! We can’t wait to see what the server has to offer for 5v5 teams!
