Hey guys, these are just a couple of questions from a relatively low-knowledge tera fan. I haven't directly seen the answers to these so if you guys could help me out I would love that.
1)Mounts - Are there flying and riding mounts? Also what is the process of getting a mount, do you just walk up and buy one?
2)Starting out - Is your original spawning point from the start of the game determined by your class or race or what?
3) End-Game - Are there no end-game raids? If not, what do you do at the level cap PvE-wise?
Thanks ahead of time for the help!
Riding mounts, you get a quest at level 11 to go get one.
Everyone starts in same starting zone. We have all done it like 3248428729 times, but EME is supposed to be adjusting and changing it. Leveling paths branch at about level 20.
There are hardmode instances, Nexus raids, and the are adding more content soon. However, this isn't a race to the top "the real game starts at 60" kind of game. There are tons of world bosses to kill, and GvG, not to mention the political system.
1) Mounts are land but at higher level you can get better looking and faster mounts. There are no fly mounts as they are not needed. To get a mount you speak at lvl 13 in the main city of Velekia (quest guides you there) with a treiner, if you have preordered you get mount for free if you have not you will pay 2golden coins (former 20000golden coins)
2) As of time of closed betas the initial spawn point was same regardless your spec, class, race. EME has mentioned that in OBT however they will add a prelude part for each race so you will spawn first in main city of according race if you are FAT as baraka then you spawn in Velekia afterwords being dispatched to the newb island.
3) There are full 3 pages of endgame description by EME on this site just copy pasting here is inappropriate look it up under game guide.
This is good info, thanks all who replied. I have a couple questions too.
What does it meant to "change channel"? Someone said in a pvp thread that you could change channel if someone griefing you.
Also, what does the acronym "CC" mean?
I believe mount quests are normally level 20, but was lowered to 11 just for the closed betas.
the open world areas have different 'channels' which are completely isolated instances of that world. players on channel 1 won't know about the existence of players on channel 2 and 3, etc.
in context of TERA, most likely CC = crowd control
