Killing mobs has become more challenging, as it should be, but with that challenge comes a slowness of pace that I've gotten accustomed to at early levels.
Basically, I want to improve my pacing my getting better DPS as a sorcerer.
So is there any advice as to what crystals I could put on my armor, what skills to use and in what order to get the best DPS, etc?
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
I've found on my sorcerer that for questing, fully stocking your weapon with Hunter crystals (increased % damage dealt to normal monsters) is the most efficient to use, since you will very rarely be behind targets to take advantage of crit increases from behind.
I used to open with mind blast or time gyre to ensure a fireblast landing, but at around level 30 I lost my patience and just start casting when I'm exactly 13-14 meters away from the target. Since just the red circle itself draws aggro, this makes it so the monster has to travel 8 or so meters before they get out of the circle, giving you plenty of time to finish the cast and take away around 50% of their HP.
If it's an AoE pull, follow with magma bomb and pain blast, then Ice Needle and kite using flame pillar/glacial retreat until they're all dead.
For single target, follow Fireblast with a void pulse(if you have it), then cycle Flame Barrage, Magma Bomb, and Ice Needle in that order.
It's very important to keep your weapon up to date with your level, because this is what determines how efficiently you will finish your quests. With a good weapon, you'll finish any pack of monsters with only 2-3 spells, making for very very quick levelling ESPECIALLY if you have a friend to party with. They can mount up, body aggro the maximum amount of packs that the game allows, then you literally oneshot all of it with an OC'd Fireblast while your buddy keeps them all inside your red circle of death.
