Dang :/ Was hoping to be able to play on my newly created character to have a little fun. Eh, oh well. Just another week.

Wonder what this means? Was in my last post from EME...This will help us balance our servers before launch and allow you to reserve your preferred character name and collect your guild mates together before the start of the Open Beta Test."

I just called gamestop online support AND en masse support. If you pre-order online, gamestop WILL NOT send you a beta key. The only key they sent was the closed beta key - which they said should work for early champ creation.....if you preordered after CBT was over then there is no key for you. Basically Gamestop support told me to contact the manufacturer. I "chatted" with eme support, basically he told me my account was set up for early character creation and headstart status. So apparently I do not have to put in a code? We will find out tomorrow. I saved the chat just incase. But otherwise EME support is excellent, they are extremely helpful.

Retailers only gave out one code if you preordered from them - a preorder code. This gives you access to all preorder perks once attached to your account. I have seen Gamestop repeatedly reference preorder codes for TERA as "Closed beta codes" but that's not what they are.

My local Gamestop today tried to first tell me that they stopped giving out codes because they were only codes for Closed Beta and that was over. I informed him he was mistaken, these were preorder codes that added other perks to the account. He then backtracked and told me that they still have the option to print preorder codes, but that their system had them flagged as "expired" so they wouldn't print on receipt's anymore. He then said that this is probably due to EME cutting them off from taking more preorders. Either way, Gamestop won't give them out anymore. I'm almost inclined to think there was some kind of misunderstanding on the purpose of these keys by Gamestop, and long ago they flagged them as "beta keys" that would shut off after beta was over.

Basically, if you got a key *from preordering*, and you entered it on your account and had access to all 5 closed Beta tests, you also have access to all of the other preorder perks - including name reservation and Headstart. If the GM confirmed that, and your account status says "Active", you should be set for tomorrow.

Adding to SeraElf's clarification, TERABETA code is to give people a chance to try TERA during the open beta test. Feel free to share it to friends, family, guildies, etc. :)
