Clothing issue???

I don't understand something. At the character creation screen, towards the end, it said to pick your outfit. So I did. But when I'm in game, that outfit is the wrong one :( I destroyed the first toon thinking I made a mistake so I made a 2nd one. But it's the same story - the toon's not wearing the outfit that I chose at the "outfit" screen. Sigh... what's going on here? What am I missing????

Actually, it mentions those are "Previews". You're not picking your starting armor there. It's just to give you an idea of what kinds of armors your character would be wearing as they level up. It's also so you can see any hairstyle changes that might happen on future high-collared armor.

Oh so it's just very misleading then :( or a very bad translation. As it led me to believe that that's the starting gear you get, even if it's costume or low lvl gear that looks nice. And if it's a "preview," then it has no place in the character customization area. But ok...

The first one of the four there is your starting armor. The others are just for previewing.

Preview definitely has a place in character customization. People want to have a basic idea of how their character will look in common higher level gear. Will the hair clip? Will the tail show? Does the color skin or other style match? etc. Please think first before posting.

A) There's no need to be rude and you've been reported as such :D

B) This "preview" was under character customization. When you customize a character, you will naturally see a preview of what it would look like before you make the final application so as to see if you like what you're making.

C) It's misleading because it's in the character customization area which would lead one to think that you can pick a starter set of clothes, just like you can pick tattoos, adornments, etc..., and then "preview" it before you finalize things. Many games do this just an fyi.

D) I'm sorry I even asked. Had I known that I was going to receive such rude and uncalled for comments, as this is my first day on the game, I just don't see the point in asking anything else... I see this place is no better than the WoW, SWTOR or Rift forums; rude behaviour everywhere...

You want to be treated as an adult but think like a child. You are probably the first person around here to actually believe the gear you could preview was gear you were going to start off with. Many games, not all, have preview dressing rooms in the character customization room. Looking at your other posts you flip-flop alot so yeah, think before you post.

And I really do hope you learn what preview means. English is not my first language and even I knew what the preview option meant. So please understand what it means.

A. Sure it may have been the wrong way to say it but nonetheless Tsikura was correct. You didn't read what was placed before you. It isn't the games fault or the translations fault or even the developers fault. In this case it would be your fault for not reading everything in the character creation. Not rude just a fact.

B. This is correct and this is not the first game to make a character customization that allows you to preview future armor looks on your character. You didn't know this I guess but it still doesn't make it misleading.

C. It is not misleading because it stated very plainly that it was a preview. It is not their fault that you did not read the heading of the section you were in. Misleading would be saying "Choose your starting armor" and not "Preview your character in various gear". You misread or didn't even read. Again no ones fault but your own.

D. You asked and people answered and that is how you learn. Had you not gone further and accused the game of being misleading when it was just a misunderstanding on your part then players would not have gotten defensive. Sure it could have been said a different way but to many you were being rude in calling the game misleading when it was clearly not the games fault you thought the way you did.

It's no point to argue the issue obviously i'm wrong and your right and Tsikura has been reported for being rude. If nothing is done, then I will be filing a formal complaint about you to the company. I don't come here, especially on my first day to receive insults.

This was pretty funny lol. Mavet you're going to meet all sorts of people on the internet. Very few are going to sugarcoat everything they say to you, especially when you make a really really silly mistake. Tsikura is being nice to you by giving you a direct answer. Most people will give you an answer like this rather than tip toe around things, or straight up insulting you, which is rude.

Okay maybe calling you illiterate is a bit of a jab, but still very tame. If you don't like it just turn things around and insult Tsikura with complete hillbilly gibberish and then continue on another paragraph with Shakespearean prose that no one understands unless you're "that" guy that no one likes. Play the game, don't [filtered] out and report over something so trivial. Save that time that the Mod spends going over your report for more serious reports like racism, death threats, threats of violence, tasteless and tactless posts, etc.
