I understand the basic process of having things the same tier as yours for fodder..and having alkahests. I'm not sure whether they should be refined or master alkahests - or what else I'm missing in the process.
This is all the information you should need, but here's a rundown for enchantment.
+ You have to use the same equipment type and of the same tier to use as enchantment fodder. It doesn't distinguish between armor types, so you can have, let's say, a T12 gauntlet to use as fodder for a T12 glove for it to work.
+ From +1 to +6, you use the white Alkahest. From +7 to +9, you use Refined Alkahest, and from +10 to +12, you use Masterwork Alkahest. The number of Alkahest you need for one go at enchanting is the same number of your Tier (T12 = 12 Alkahest, etc.)
+ Normal enigma (white question mark) only needs a common identification scroll sold by merchants for 50 silver each. Intricate enigma (yellow mark?) requires the more expensive identification scroll and might give you a chance to masterwork your gear. You can also use an Enigma scroll sold by merchants for 5 gold each to re-enigmate your gear (for stat rerolling).
+ Use Spellbind to keep stats that you want to keep during rerolling of gears. The number of Spellbind you need for one line of stat = the number of your Tier (1 line of T12 = 12 Spellbind, etc.) Of course you don't absolutely need to use Spellbind, as you might be very lucky and get all the stats you want in one go, but it's hard to do so and it's recommended to use Spellbind to keep the ones you want to have.

You're better off just rerolling over and over without using spellbind. Don't bother with spellbind at all unless you're done enchanting all your gear and have loads of gold to spend to get the perfect stats you want.

Unless you are rerolling the stats on a Masterwork item.
Masterworking can be achieved on any superior item (unless stated otherwise) by using the enigmatic scrolls. Currently, the best shot is to use the Master Enigmatic Scrolls that drop from instances to get a golden "?" instead of the normal silver on the item, when you get this gold "?" you have a higher (minimal chance period) chance to proc a masterwork. From here you must use the costlier identification scroll from the general merchant, the 52g one, the name escapes me at the moment.
Once you achieve masterwork on the superior item, from what I understand and have been told it will stay on as long as you use Master Enigmatic Scrolls to reset the bonus stats, the regular scrolls will wipe the masterwork off it.
Masterwork items let you enchant past the +9 limit to +12, you get bonuses at each level however. With weapons you'll get + power each consecutive level, and + endurance with armor. The base stats and bonus stats below +10 will also get a boost, so 8% atk speed becomes 8.5% atk speed etc.
My sources are generally compiled information from whats in game, what I've read on forums and from friends who have made masterwork items in-game, so if there is any incorrect information I apologize.
