OK... graphics are nice.. combat seems nice.... bit turned off by being in a beautiful park like setting and then being sent to go hunt bunnies or whatever.

I understand the need to appeal to a wide audience and that some people like this type of atmosphere.

I'd like to simply get out of the Renaissance Faire and find something a little more dark/gritty... how long is this going to take?

Open Beta and release will have a more "action packed" tutorial area so the game kicks off to a better start. However, like most other games (online and offline) the beginning is easy and dedicated to teaching you how to play the game and letting you get a feel for it.

Around level 11 you will leave the "beginner" area, and around level 20 you will begin fighting difficult battles.
