I do too Kitta. Works great for me.
I completely agree with Jessina as well.
I left Perfect World games because, as much as I tried; and I REALLY did try, the several weeks of strugging to get use to the right-handed switch I started to suffer carpel tunnel in my left wrist and hand. My fingers would go numb within an hour of playing and eventually I was unable to play or do many other normal daily life things for the next 3 months because of this.
People who are right handed really can't understand how difficult it is unless they are told they had to switch from using their right hand to using their left. Try writing a letter or swinging a golf club using your left hand and maybe they would understand. This world has always catered to right-handedness, and 'left-handed' folks have always spoken out till others heard and decided to do something about it to make things easier for them too. Smart game companies who really care about giving the best to the most potential customers wont try to force us 'lefties' to switch just because they don't want to take the time to make it work for ALL of us, they will, and DO make their games work for all styles of play for all sorts of players, right and left-handedness.
I'm sorry to say if there isn't a key-binding option when Tera comes out I won't be able to play either. The sad thing is, I just ordered my Collector's Edition from Amazon.com 3 days ago. I only wish I had read this beforehand so I could have saved my $80 for extending my monthly gaming subscription elsewhere where they DO allow key-binding to our prefered style and needs.
Yeah - this isn't going to work for me either - I'm an arrowkey, camera follow my toon and tab target for my target kinda player.
Judging from the comments on the beach there are a lot of people having problems with it and are quite disappointed that the option isn't going to be there for players like us to enjoy the game.
I wish Tera all the best though I think it's going to be a fun game to play if you can get past the navigation requirements.
Sorry, but I've decided to cancel my Amazon.com order.
I just keep reading about too many problems others are having and the complaints don't seem to be addressed as if no one is listening or cares. I've yet to any answers to whether they will be looked into or fixed or even any word on whether anything mentioned by the players are taking into consideration by the game devs. A bad sign for me of future problems later on.
I was a clicker for all 5 years of my WoW(and other MMO) experience. I'm playing TERA now using only WASD and hotkeys and I am loving it because of how easy it was to adopt. Really, if you've been an arrow key user or clicker this is one of the best opportunities to change that- most games are WASD based anyway and you will become a better, or at least more adaptable player in other MMOS if you can quit the clicking and/or arrow keys :)
Yeah I too am a lefty and I too hate this setup. Unlike others I use my keypad a great deal in MMOs. That way I have all movement (including jump) all in easy reach.
I had nothing against hotkeys and such and I see no need to change it. You should give people options, there's nothing wrong with that. So no thanks, I won't bother with this one.
You guys that are enjoying it, hats off to ya. Take care, everyone.
