access to other buttons for hotkeys.

and arrow keyer will be at a big disadvantage unless they have a 12+ button mouse.

Actually with a little more thought best thing for OP since they have to look at the keyboard to type anyways is

#1 pull out Q and E and any other keys around wasd so wasd feels like the arrows.
#2 Pull out keys you do not use ( /[]-=\ or the number pad) and replace those keys with q and e etc
#3 remap your kb so you can use q and e.
#4 play Tera

Didn't read entire thread but why is OP so against wasd? Just the learning curve? Fat hands? black kb and plays in the dark?

I use the arrow keys, though I play left handed. I use the six keys above the arrow keys and the number pad (excluding Enter) as my re-mapped hotkleys. Considering when you trigger a hotkey skill your character is locked into the animation, you have plenty of time to move and use skills.

why not just use the number key section for movement and hotkeys? would be much easier if rigging some left hand setup. Set movement as 8 (up), 4(left), 5(down), and 6(right) or just move one row down... then you have all them keys around it to play with instead of stretching fingers... then again, I don't know how your keyboard is set up :P

Personally, my left hand gets derpy after long hours and excitement, so I'll be using the Razer Naga for my hotkeys and WASD for movement.

I just got a reply from the man, Michael "GM- Lord.Game.God"

He sent me this link I think everyone who's been disappointed and decided not to play Tera because of the Arrow Key-Remapping for us lefties.

https://tera-support.enmasse.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/136/session/L2F2LzEvdGltZS8xMzM1MTk3OTc4L3NpZC9yMUI3Mm5Xaw%3D%3D#Movement

Under 'Movement' it is now listed as being configurable. Basically it says:

"Movement

Move forward: W or Up arrow key
Move back: S or Down arrow key
Move left: A or Left arrow key
Move right: D or Right arrow key
Auto-run: Mouse 4 or NumLock
Jump: Spacebar"

Yippy!!!
Thank you, Michael. I'm off to re-order my Tera again :)

I have all my "need to get quickly keys" close to the arrow keys and the less used are further away. I don't use the numpad arrows in the manner you suggested so that I have more re-map options. I can move using my thumb or forefinger on an arrow key, with less accuracy needed than on the num pad, and select a needed numpad hotkey with my other fingers. it sounds clumsy I'm sure to people who play right handed but it works for me.

*shrugs* whatever works for you. Was just naming an alternative for the OP.

The arrow keys are for scrubs who suck at video games.

I use an xbox controller and it works great! :) I hear people are using the PS3 controller too. I prefer this over a keyboard & mouse, more ergonomic for me.
