Greetings people!

I only discovered this game last week, and downloaded the trial for NA, unaware that there was actually a European version - which starts its trial week today.

It hasn't taken my long though, to figure out that the European community is quite disappointed in Frogster(?) which is the European distributor(?) of tera in europe.

Basically though, after downloading the trial for NA last week, I didnt really get much time to try out the game so never really got a feel for how much I lke it.

But my question is really this, does anyone know what the game experience is on the NA servers, playing from a european country? As far as I can tell, there is no latency-meter in game, and thus hard to tell what kind of latency we are having on the NA servers - and even harder to make an informed decision regarding how that latency affects the game experience.

How affected can I expect the - very important - real time combat of the game to be by me being situated in europe? Should I expect a significantly longer response time? Is it really worth rolling on NA instead of europe (is Frogster really THAT bad?)

Obviously I realize this is a hard question for those of you who live in the US :) But I'm kinda hoping to get some input, and maybe a few european players from the NA servers will notice this post.

Buddy of mine is playing from Scotland for the last couple weeks and has had no real issues. There was a couple nights when things were bit spotty in crowded areas but we just switched to a higher channel and no issues. I am willing to bet some of it is his crap laptop vid card though =P

i am playing from germany, and i realy have no problems with the connection.
I have no lag or something, it runs like it runs on an EU-Server for me.

Only "problem" is, that when you play at 20:00 o clock, in NA, it is 11:00 in the morning.
So it is not so easy to find players for grouping.

I am not sure how this is for dungeons, i am only Level 14/11 at the moment, so i cant tell you if it is hard to find a group at EU-Time...

But playing at an EU-Server (Frogster) isn't an option.
Frogster is the worst publisher i have ever seen.

Play Tera on NA or don't play Tera.
But never play it @Frogster!

Pretty much the same story here, playing from UK. Game feels responsive and I've had very few troubles.

Playing on Dragonfall, there's always people about, I tend to forget the time difference mostly.

Good thing that you didn't play on EU version. If you believe their forums, the game is down 3/4 days per week.

I'd totally believe considering how appalling their service record is with free 2 play games, why the hell didn't Blue Hole research them properly? Giving an AAA MMO to a shoddy F2P publisher? Rocks in their head

I found out the exact same thing, but reading all this about Frogster i am happy about my mistake..
I got no lag in game. Only hope i can find some EU guild because of time zones.
