Quick Question

Ok folks, I just have a quick question that seems like it would belong here.

I'm looking for a new game to play since SWTOR just didn't cut it for me. I'm interested in giving this game a shot as it looks like something I would enjoy. However, when I go to purchase the digital download, I am asked to choose a subscription plan in order to play.

My question is: If I should buy the game and choose the subscription plan and it turns out I don't like the game (which is highly doubtful) do I have to bite the bullet on whichever subscription plan I chose or can I cancel that? In other words, is the subscription plan I choose when buying the game immediately charged to me or is it only charged after the 30 days of free play time?

Thanks and I apologize if the answer was somewhere in the FAQ, I skimmed through them and didn't see anything that looked like an answer.

It is only charged after the 30 days of game time are up. Although you do have to enter a sub plan before you can play on the 30 days, it won't charge you now.

Buying Tera is not like signing a cell phone contract. It's more like getting a magazine subscription. They do require you to pick a plan type at sign-up so they know what amount to charge you at the end of the 30 days included with the game. If you choose a 3-month subscription, you will get charged for that on the 31st day and every three months thereafter until you cancel the account. I don't know how En Masse plans to handle cancellations, but suspect they will handle it like Blizzard does with WoW cancellations. Blizzard doesn't refund any unused portion of the time already purchased. After you cancel the subscription, you can continue to play until the subscription runs out much like a you continue to get all magazines in your current subscription even if you choose not to renew it. I don't work for En Masse, so this is just my understanding, but I'm pretty sure it's correct.
