First off I do not like the fact you cannot use the Mouse to move in the game and are forced to use WASD. I never use them keys and not about to start here. Luckily I have a joystick on my G13 gamepad and that suffices for now, but still do not like it.

I do not understand why so many of you just all out LOVE this action combat mechanic. I do not see the point of it. So I have to keep the center on the screen with the cursor facing my target. So how is that different then any other MMO that I just tab to select my target and fight it. This just seems to add a unnecessary element to combat, I am sorry I just do not get it.

This game seems to be basically like a F2P Korean MMO, only thing different is the graphics are better, but not even close to Aions outstanding graphics. And no I do not play Aion, gave up that Gankfest long ago. Only reason I am giving Tera a look see is cause they will have PvE servers, if Aion would of had PvE servers I would of never left.

My final decision on Tera is still undecided, will take some more game play for me to decide if I want to buy the game, but as of now I don't think I will.

To me, the action combat is what makes this game...It is an mmo like all others, but being able to actually fight, not target and push buttons...makes it more involved. its like you are playing a console game but with an MMO =D

How did Aion even come into that sentence, was totally random. For the record, Aions graphics are pretty terrible, Teras actually looks alot better, by a long shot in fact. And I actually play Aion so I can say that without a doubt. As for the combat, while it's simple it's been far more fun than the generic pick target auto attack spam kills, it feels a lot more action oriented and that is what makes the game. I love it, reminds me of games like pso but on a larger scale. But from the sound of it, and that slightly jaded view of the game it doesn't look like it's for you.

I dont expect much from Tera either, but one thing we all can agree this is something different. Action combat is nice, but shooters just dominate action game, its been tried before and wasnt that well received by the community.

Btw, any chance to get this from Steam?

Disagreement =/= Trolling

On topic, I was discouraged at first as well when I first started TERA's combat. I came in thinking it would be ALOT more action based, like an open world Vindictus. I blame that on the trailers. I totally did NOT think I would be rooted to one place while performing skills. I understand not being able to use skills while JUMPING, but I still do not like not being able to use skills while MOVING.

However, after a few more levels, I did start to get the hang of the combat and it does grow on you. My recommendation to you: play a class with a 4 Star difficulty or above when you start. These classes tend to require alot more mobility, skill, and/or awareness than others. Also, don't make too many characters in the Beta...focus on one class that you like and see how you enjoy it at level 22-25.

Give the game a bit longer to grow on you. However, if you find the game is not for you, that's okay, too. Every game is not for everyone. The point of playing games is to have fun, so find something that's fun for you.

Your crazy if you think Aions graphics are worse, Aion has the best graphics of any MMO to date.

And if you can read english properly I brought Aion into the post cause it's also a Korean MMO and some of the same people came from Aion that are developing this game. So does it make sense to you now? And if doesn't I don't really care.

Just the kind of response I expect from a fanboy. Can't take criticism for a game you think is great huh?

Well anyways I forced myself to level a warrior up a bit to see if my first impression of the game might change.

The combat system I guess is okay once you get used to it, still not a fan of this type of combat.

But either way I do not see anything to make me want to buy it. Just to much reminds me of all them other F2P Asian MMOs that I messed with years ago. The Quests, the fighting large groups if mobs all at once with AE attacks.

But the game is okay if your into that sort of thing.
