OK I pre ordered TERA and played the Beta's. Now I am confused here, I searched my Hard drive for the TERA folder and could not find it in C:\Program Files (x86). I am running Win 7 ultimate 64-bit.. instead I found it in C:\Users\Public\Games\TERA
I just want to know why it installed there and not in the usual place.
Was it because I downloaded and installed it when the closed beta's were still in place?
It works fine but I just want it to be in C:\Program Files (x86).
Let me guess I have to uninstall and re install?
In order to get it in that directory and sub-folder you will need to re-install it. You could try to move it, but I have a feeling it would create some issues. If you really want to address that, I suppose it does not hurt to try and move it.
Pretty sure this is the norm OP. Mine installed there as well.
I'm running the same OS, and mine installed to Program Files. I only played the Open Beta tho. I can't remember what the default install directory was, but I'm pretty sure I changed it during installation. So a reinstall is your best option for moving it.
I had access to the Closed betas maybe that could be the issue
You do not need to reinstall the game, just move it then create a new shortcut to Tera-Launcher.exe. Hell I don't even have Tera "installed" on my laptop, I just copied the client over.
The game most likely installed to that folder as you ran the installer without admin rights.
That is the default install location for Windows 7 at least. It is better to leave it there, as some people have had trouble after moving it or installing to something other than the default location.
