Thinking of buying, Have some questions

So I have been watching some videos, and am really thinking about ditching SWTOR to come play this. If you could, answer some questions for me.

Is there open world PvP other than on a PvP server? I ask this because I truely don't like gank squads that come along to just kill lowbies tring to PvE.

How is the crafting? Is it proc crafting like Aion? do the crafted items actually stand up to vendor, boss and instance gear?

How bad is the lvl grind? I have heard some pretty bad things about going past lvl 26, but I don't intend on getting max lvl in a week either.

How's the endgame? I am a raider through and through. I always look for hard mode dungeons and advanced raids to occupy my time with max lvl characters.

That's about all I can think of. Any help would be most appreciated.

You can duel other players and do guild vs Guild pvp. and i think they are adding arenas down the line.

The grind is just like swtor. quest galour evertime u make it to a new spot on the map. its quest lvling not party/solo grinding.

There are a few hard mode dungeons and special guild quests and probly dungeons if u guild leader is vanarch of a province. a new special endgame areas i havent made it to just yet.

i havent done too much crafting but i guess it gets to be a pain to craft the good [filtered] unlessu have a guild helping u out :P or farm like a beast

I haven't played on a PvE server.

Crafting is pretty easy to lvl until 250, after that you will need to farm/buy a lot of runes to continue leveling. Pretty sure crafted gear is at least comparable to instance gear.

Leveling in Tera is pretty easy. Once I got to around 52 solo questing was a pain for a few levels but then it got easy again for the last couple of levels.

There are some level 60 hardmode 5 mans. Right now there are no raids but I do believe they are coming.

I'm on a PvE server because I hate that as well. You can challenge someone to a duel and fight them for the hell of it whenever you want, though they have to accept. That's enough of a PvP option for me. There's also supposed to be GvG / Arena, but I don't think they're implemented yet.

I'm not happy with it, and it's usually one of my favorite activities in a game like this. I have heard rumors they changed it to where the top tier weapons will be crafted now, instead of boss drops as originally planned, but I don't know if it's more then a rumor. Even so, expect to burn either a lot of money, or a lot of time farming mats to get your skill to max.

As far as I can tell, the people complaining have played Western MMO's and are used to fast leveling. I've played RO (Korean) and FFXI (Japanese) and leveling in Tera feels like the wind to me. The only slow down at 26 is that you stop gaining a level a day. I'm already 46, and I am NOT a grinder.

I'm not 100% sure, but I do think that if you end up playing on a PvE server, the most open world PvP you will see is Guild vs Guild wars. To explain a little on how it works: Guild A declares war on Guild B, anytime either of the opposing guilds see each other, outside of a questing hub/resting area, fights will be a brawlin'.

If you go to a PvP server, anyone can use a spell they learned at level 11 called 'Outlaw Declaration' and either get ganked or gank others. If you don't feel like PvPing while questing (occasionally, or often that is) you can join a different channel at the top right hand of your screen. There's usually only 4 channels available, depending on the zone population.

Getting to level 250 in a crafting skill is not too hard, but the remaining 50 levels to get to 300 are a farm. Not 100% sure on this one either, but I do think that if you do dungeons, you can get patterns that are on par with drops. Not sure what proc crafting is either. =P

The level grind isn't bad at all. It can become bad and awfully terrible and horrible and make you want to play something else, if you skip questing hubs. If you also do all of the BAM (group) and dungeon quests in the area, you'll definitely be able to smoothly go through your solo quests afterwards.

Currently, they have normal dungeons out and hardmode dungeons for end game. I've only read rumors, but I read that Korean Tera has been working on a 20 man raid, so if that's true it'll obviously be implemented in the NA Tera too. Also, I've read tons of posts of players wanting 10 man/20 man raids, so hopefully they'll make those in the long run. For now, hardmode dungeons gogo!

I have not experienced any real slow downs in leveling. I am now 43 almost 44. But I will stay quest according to the story quest. If you do not follow the story quest, you might find it harder to level. I made a mistake and took the higher of my 2 story quests. So I had to backtrack, and was getting barely over 100 experience a kill. But if you are within a couple of levels of the story quest, the grinding quests actually give decent experience.
