Let me start by saying that I am not very computer savvy. I may know more than my family members, but I'm not a guru when it comes to more advanced issues/topics.
My DL speed fluctuates between about 150 - 200 kb/s when I'm on the internet while it's running and 250 - 290 kb/s when I'm not. I don't know if this is a good speed or not, so I guess that's my first question - is that speed normal/average or no?
If not, what can I do to make it DL faster? I've seen all the "disable peer to peer" comments but I have no idea how to do that. I have Windows 7 Home Premium on my computer and DSL internet service (ATT if that makes any difference). I don't know if that helps at all but as I said, I don't know how/where to turn off the peer to peer.
It has been a whole day since the DL started and the remaining time keeps fluctuating between another 6 - 8 hours. So as it stands, it will be tomorrow before I can play at all - if the time remaining holds true.
All in all, I'm just looking for a bit of help and wanting to know if that DL time/speed is average or not.
Thanks!
