i've accidentaly thrown out an item i needed, its a story quest so i cant abandon it and start over, how do i recover the item?
Information on exactly which quest and which item would be helpful. As far as I know, the game prevents you from discarding items for quests you are currently on.
Could try abandoning the quest and try to reget it (which would require you to get the piece again I would think). I also swear down at the bottom of the quest you can do something with the previous quest. I'm at work so I can't see for sure.
I do think you can delete the items, I know for some quests that are gather this many flowers/items you can gather more then what was suggested. After turning it in you can delete the extras you gathered. I know I've been able to do that prior.
As Minea pointed out, talk to one of the GMs. I had this issue on my character and they reset the story quest so I could get the item again.
