Hello, I per-ordered the game online 2 days ago, and Tera started patching a day ago. I dont know if this is suppose to be normal; It has been almost 24 hours and the game is still patching, it wouldn't tell me the remaining time. Every time the launcher pops up and patches a few mb of content which takes me only like 10 seconds to patch since I'm downloading 1mb/s. after the patch is done, the launcher will disappear, and about 30 -90 seconds later the launcher pops up again an patches another few mb of content, then disappear. This has been repeating for almost 24 hours. is this happening to u guys too? or is this suppose to be normal
@Kabobs, you need to go into your launcher settings and turn off your p2p sharing. That will speed things up.
Actually, the behavior of it popping up, patching then closing, sounds abnormal. I've also seen some others complain about this, as it doesn't seem to be advancing your actual download. I'd take a look in the Support forums and see if anyone else has posted about it, and has a solution/fix. If not, you could post there, or submit a ticket to EME's Support on the site here.
Dude i had tons of trouble fixing my launcher but i finally made it work its a long process but it should definitely get you going on the right track this is what you have to do.
1. Go into your tera setup and uninstall the game and delete any remaining tera files.
2. Now go back to the tera setup and right click go into properties and you should be able to find to the compatibility tab. In there make sure you check windows xp server pack 3 and run as administrator. Just to be safe go into all users and check server pack 3 and administrator in there too and click apply and press ok.
3. Download the launcher but make sure when it says at the end if you want to run tera launcher upon exit make sure you UNCHECK THAT.
4. Once the download is done you have to do the same thing with tera launcher that you did with the setup right click on the launcher go into properties and compatibility tab make sure windows xp server pack 3 and run as administrator is checked and also for all users.
5. Start the launcher and hopefully it will ask you for your usename and password and after that it will ask for authorization code which will be in your mail and once you enter that in it should hopefully work. Cheers
If you're running Windows7, make sure your "Application Experience" is enabled in the Task Manager.
